Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The ocean is teeming with life. 70% of the earth is water and we still haven't been able to explore the great depths. Imagine what is out there in the universe. We are just a grain of sand like on the beach. I think we should transmit a beacon and ask to arrange a meeting. I run SETI@Home because the day we discover that signal I want to be able to say that I was apart of it and most of all I hope I am the one who discovers it. I probably have better chance of winning the lottery...lol. I currently have 300 machines that I run SETI on. This is a great project and the best thing that was thought of when they started deploying the data to home users. I believe without a doubt that far out there in space there is civilizations. The question is when we will reach it...that is if humanity doesn't destroy itself first we might get advanced enough in techmology to discover something that will bring a new beginning of a whole new species. I just hope they aren't hostile =)
