Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be small minded and arrogant of us to think that the chemical bonding and naturral proceses that created life on this planet would not happen elsewhere in the vastness that surrounds us.

It may well not be the human race that finds other life, but rather vice versa. It is to be hoped that the benefits of such a discovery would be the sharing of information and technology, and we must hope that other life forms are not driven by the same things that motivate so many of us. Greed, ignorance and malice aforethought.

I would think that we have been transmitting beacons into space now for over half a century. How the information is interpreted I can only guess.

I run SETI@home 'Just In Case'
