Personal background
I am a 22 year old computer geek from Oakhurst, Ca. I started working on computers at age six in 1987 when my dad bought a new pc. I have been building and repairing them ever since, and I am known for my ability to fix a computer by simply walking into the same room. My collection of computer equipment seems to grow almost daily. I currently have six PCs, two Macs, and two Sun Ultra workstations all connected to my Cisco network. When I'm not either on or inside of a computer, I'm probably taking apart or putting together an old car or out riding my Honda VTX 1800 retro. I have helped in the restoration of a 68 Pontiac GTO, a 65 Pontiac Lemans, and two VW bugs (one of which is still under construction).

I graduated Fresno Institute of Technology in their Computer Technician program and am A certified. I currently work at Sierra Tel Internet as a Network Operations Center Technician and own a small networking company which I run from my home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do not believe that extraterrestrial life exists but I could be wrong, and without looking for life on other planets we would never know unless they came directly to us.

I have a few reasons for running seti@home, first of all, I have a lot of machines just sitting around doing nothing most of the day, and second I bet a friend that I could do more units than him, he had already been running it for over 2 years and I passed him up after 6 months.
