I get "No start tag in scheduler reply" when my internet connection is trying to tell me something: in my case, most commonly when the ISP connection is down because the combined modem/router is going through a reboot cycle.

BOINC sends a message to the project server, and expects to get a reply from that server in a prescribed form. If the line is down, the message will never reach the server, and any reply received is likely to be from some intermediate device along the way trying to be 'helpful'.

So, the first thing to do is to try to reach the project (these message boards) using a web browser on the machine with the problem. If there's an error message to be seen, you'll see it that way.

If you're using an unusual type of internet connection (like the satellite service mentioned in the linked thread), and a browser connects successfully, then using the <http_1_0> setting described there is certainly worth a try.

After you uninstalled boinc did you go and find the boinc folder in the Program data folder and delete it as well??

If not, then you left the original there and BOINC reconnect to the old folders.

I have no clue what the problem is... but I did a search and found this thread and hope that it might help. If you look at the newest post in this thread it looks like the problem was solved. good luck.

One point of clarification, everyone, especially the lamestream media, keep referring to the Executive Order on Immigration as a ban. Not as a temporary halt. It would be easily fixed by a new Order temporarily halting all immigration until the vetting system can be vetted. No Muslims, No Christians, No Agnostics, No Atheists, No Rosicrucians.............No ANYBODY for 90 days.
