45) Questions and Answers : GPU applications : what the rac on cards, want to buy new1 (Message 986830) Posted 5 Apr 2010 by Eve - Pyro nl Post: hello looking to upgrade my pc with a nvidia card and mayby more mem (got 2 gb atm) got 5 pcs, all dual core's only 1 with a nvidia that seti see and use (gf9600), on my media pc next to my tv he see my gf9400 but says it has toless mem to use it (card has 512 but seti says 225) my 5 pc give a rac of 3480 atm when keeping them on for 24 hours, wich my main pc does 1650 of (so not much) for my main and media pc i want a good card, proberly a gfx 260 for my media and mayby same for main or the new 400 serie's, yust wondering if that worth the mony so main question is what the rac of the cards, alrdy saw some stats at other thread GT240 - 5,000 GTS250 - 7,000 GTX260-216 - 12,000 Gt 220 - ? GTX 470 - ? Gtx 480 - ? Gtx 285 - ? wondering why this card cost somuch also does the manufacter makes much differenace ? gigabyte has the cheapest gtx 260 i can find, the 470 is same priceclass as others like asus, msi, xfx , evga, zotac and do i need big powersupply with those cards ? for 470 i asume yes but the 260 ? when i put 2 cards in 1 pc will they both work on full speed ? thx in advance for any reply's

(Message 810936) Posted 22 Sep 2008 by Eve - Pyro nl Post: edit (put english part aswel ;o ' hallo ben nu tijdje bezig en zie dat het programma units download die vrij snel gerapporteerd moete worden nu 22-9-08 en heb er zooi die op 24-9-08 klaar moeten zijn maar hij doet eerst units die pas op 10-10-08 etc klaar moeten wezen is er een manier dat ie de 24-9 etc als eerste pakt zonder zelf steeds handmatig de 10-10 te stoppen zowieso beetje apart dat prog niet zo is ingestelt om de units met minste tijd als eerste tedoen nu zijn er dus ook nog apl die de snelheid verhogen ofzo maar als dat werkt waarom zit dat niet standaard in boinc ? werkt zon prog ook bij pentium dual core's ? edit:: forgot this was english forum :O ok im working for abit now with seti and yust saw that it downloads units that have to be done with like 1 a 2 days but the bionc doesnt start those but is dooing files that have 3 weeks time before they have to be send back so is there any way to automaticly have the program choise the untis that have to be rapported soon ? so first files like 24-9-08 and not the files with 10-10-08 kinda expected the prog to do that automatic alrdy as this way i might be tolate with some files while they sit there waiting for the other unit to complete also there apl that boost the speed, if that progs work why isnt that a part of boinc ? i got pentium dual cores. any need for such progs or not rly any improvement ?
