How many hours does it take for a GTX 1080 to go trough the 100WU limit?

Roughly 6-7 hours on my machines that run 1080s (and 980s) at 3 WUs/Gpu

Around 7 hours (less than 5, over 9 depending on the work mix) for my GTX 1070s running 1WU at a time.

9-10hrs with my 1060's 1w/u at a time.

Cheers.

About 8 hours on my 1070/960 machine doing 2 at a time.

Both of my machine are back to full after spending most of the day empty.

The back-offs can be murder in a challenge.

Posting and accessing the web pages has gotten remarkably slower in the last 48 hours. Everything seems to be getting bogged down somehow.

The end is near.......................
The only end that is near is the end of this doggone long thread.

Meow.

Okay, I will create a new one, I have been busy with College lately.

The Forum colors can be adjusted easily in FireFox using the method from the other thread. It does seem better if you Invert the Brightness instead of Colors, that way Green is still Green, Orange still Orange, etc. The only strangeness is the Posting box & Stderr output box is black with white letters, but, the rest looks normal and nice.

1) Install Color That Site
2) Open the sidebar and select New Edit
3) Select Foreground colors and Check the Invert Brightness box
4) Select Settings and hit the Site choice
5) Do the same with the Background Colors.

Well, I just went to change another machine and found the text colors have been changed from white to Yellow. That doesn't Invert very nicely. When I changed the Main machine the text colors were white and they Inverted to Black. Glad I changed my Main machine earlier, now it will stay with Light Grey Background and Black Text no matter what SETI does.

I went with a slightly green backdrop with almost white text. Matches my mood perfectly.

Or are there any older threads anyone wants to bump?

That would make more sense to me than cluttering the forum with a bunch of new posts. Panic Mode, Windows 10, GUPPI Rescheduler, etc. are probably all candidates for bumping, but only if there's something relevant to add to them. :^)

Actually, I think we're overdue for a new Panic Mode thread, anyway.

yes we were, I have been busy with school and not crunching.

Seeing as I have read about this on the developers list, I guess with the change in the look, it is time for a new thread.

Yes it all went around us here by about 50 miles and hit north east of us north to Washington state , We got about 1.5 inches out of all that rain. We sure could use a lot more here.

It's cloudy here at 56ºF more rain in the forecast so says (U of They and Hey U) But haven't heard a word out of What's the Matter U yet.

What is this rain you speak of. It has been almost 2 months since we got a decent thunderstorm.

There seems to be some version number confusion. Current minimum opencl_nvidia_mac requires OSX <min_os_version>110402</min_os_version>. From below it looks like you're asking for a max OSX version below the current minimum OSX version.

Anyone knows how this number translates into human-readable OS X version and how "lower than Darwin 15.4" Will be translated into <max_os_version> tag value?

If I read this correctly, 11.4.2 is the kernel version, so equates as OSX 10.7.5, Lion.

I am back for the Wow! event. Unfortunately, I have no budget for the electricity and new hardware (sigh). Zalster and Mr. Kevvy among others will pass me in a month or two.
I am going to try to find the SoG and privy apps (no luck so far...) and test them so I can maybe do next year's Wow! as well. Good luck all.

. . CPUs actually like Guppis (well mine do anyway). They run quicker than normal AR work so yes your RAC would go up. But normARs definitely run better than VLAR work on GPUs. If you are interested there is a thread about optimising your rig by rescheduling assigned work to the most appropriate device.

.

Not true, My GPUs squash any CPU calculation of VLARs

The issue is, how do you have your system set up, what kind of GPUs and what modifications of the system have you done.

Zalster

My 1070 does a guppie in about 10 minutes working on 2 at a time.

...AND, yes ALL of our lines are registered with the Federal "DoNotCall.gov" system. This; however, DID NOTHING for us - scammers and Call Centers still managed to call my parents' home line!!! Been on DoNotCall.gov for AT LEAST 5 years; maybe longer, whenever it got started is when I put all of our numbers there.

After 5 years you have to renew.

Not with a cell phone.
