1) Message boards : Number crunching : Similiar perfomance replacement suggestions for GTX295 Co-op (Message 1254707)

Hello everyone.
Since this thread is about GPU I thought I'd throw at you some questions just for fun.
I have a GTX 285 and when there is work i probably crunch between 1000 to 5000 Units MAX. With CUDA of course.
How could I compare that to a GTX 680 or 690?
My GTX 285 has 240 CUDA core while the 680 has 1534 and the 690 over 3000.
Is it the CUDA core that determine how much one crunches?

I am not that savvy and was just wondering if any of you would have a vague idea.

Thanks Perryjay
Is there a date or time frame where new AP will be available?

Why don't I get credit anymore for all the AP I am crunching?

And what is a "re-run"?
Are those AP that came out negative or errored out in the past now crunching on clients but still will be invalid or out of date to free the new work being generated?

AP are 8Mg in "lenght" compared to about 366Kb for a regular MB (Multi Beam).
SLI will not help in anyway.
For better GPU crunching they have to be run seperately thus improving the effeciency.

Thanks Pappa.
I got confused there for awhile.
I only like to crunch AP since my rotation of AP is quite decent.

How can we "participate" in the 10th year anniversary if we are from another country?
Will there be a live feed online?

I think I missed it.
You said we have just cleared the Astro Pulse?
No more AP to crunch? I have been dry for the last 36 hours or so.
