1) Questions and Answers : GPU applications : New version not running GPU?? (Message 1407297)

Not sure if this is related to a new version or what.
Haven't been getting any work units for about 10 days -

8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks sent
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for the applications you have selected.
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | Tasks for NVIDIA GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them

I've an AMD Radeon HD 6450 card, not NVDIA, so I guess that explains the last message. Or is there something in the BOINC Seti settings that I need to change for this? Other BOINC programs are using the card just fine.

Gripe: Downloads at times can be excrutiating slow, only a few kbps for an 8M file.
Kudos: System eventually admits that has failed, and often does better next time.

Claggy - aha!! That was it. Was trying to get it to run from a non-admin account - didn't need that option too.
World Community Grid - Help Conquer Cancer app now running on 1 CPUs + 1 ATI GPU.
Will wait and see if SETI Astropulse tries to use it too.
Thanks very much to you - and others - for the help.

Looked at the startup log - you're right, doesn't see the GPU. Ran GPU-Z, and it does say have OpenCL.

Is SETI compatible with this board? I've enabled GPU in general preferences, as well as for SETI - tasks for SETI@Home advanced 6.03 running fine , but just on PC's quad CPU's.

It's normal for the completed result to be purged from your results lists. If you haven't been around for awhile, the project started being more aggressive in clearing them out recently, so they disappear a lot quicker than they used to.

Thanks for the update, I was used to the old style where results sat around longer. Can still see stats via my account, so all is there.

I had a couple of successful "runs" on SETI over the past few weeks, and the completed tasks were uploaded, and I was given credit. Then I looked a few days later and there was nothing showing for me.
I'll try again and this time take more notes on the tasks in case they disappear.
I'm running BOINC 5.8.0, but don't see this problem with Rosetta or Einstein.
Didn't see anything on this in the BOINC alpha group either - I'll look thru there again.
