Got results gone past expiry now. I'd just like to be able to upload and report them. I have plenty of work on other projects.

4) Message boards : Number crunching : Does AP get priority for download?? (Message 886544)

I was getting too much MB for a while after the big database crash so I set my preferences only to do AP unless no AP work is available. Longer wait for the credit but better credit per hour. Before the big database failure though I was seeing what everyone else was seeing - nothing but AP.
5) Message boards : Number crunching : Can I "turn off" Astropulse? (Message 883728)

Well, frankly, it's not so obvious as to how to turn off AP units for a specific (set of) computer(s) on one account, now is it?

My older computers here choke on AP units, but my quad-core + dual GPU-laden boards EAT UP AP units just fine.

As it is now I have to manually stop/start the projects on each computer, switch my preferences, start up BIONC again on the proper set of machine, and then switch back to "defaults."

You can have up to 4 location profiles for your computers. Leave your default settings to do all. You simply need to add, say, preferences for home and set that do do only SETI@Home enhanced. Then set the location for the faster computers bland (default) and set the slower computers' locations as home. I've done this with a old P3 that runs at my sister-in-law's place.

Of course if you use optimized apps on each computer you can load only the apps you want to run on those computers, and then just use the default profile set to run all. The only reason I set profiles is because I want AP WU's rather than Enhanced WU's, but the old P3 can't be optimized to do them.

Keep an eye on it and see if goes out again. I thought they would go out up to 10 times if needed? With these huge ap wu's it would make sense, especially after the initial application distribution problems for average non-optimized users. It's one thing to lose the crunch time of a MB wu, but not for someone to lose potentially days of crunching time in this way. If one does the work one should get the credit.

Just looked at my computers and my AthlonXP 1800 has 11 days worth of work with my cache set at 2 days. My quad has 5 days worth and my D has 7. BOINC versions 6.2.18 and 19. Bug on the Berkeley end for sure.

Doesn't matter to me. They'll crunch if needed, if not they'll be aborted I guess.
