OK you can still spend a lot of money for the MIPS.
But if you look at this:
Today a C2D E7500 2,93GHz is about 100Eur
In 2000 A Pentium II(I) 400Mhz was about 200-250Eur
So the Eur/MIPS has dramaticaly dereased

And do you really think that the server load increases when info is given here at the forum?

What I do think is that this is no topic for the technical news.

..... One by one, my crunchers are running out of cached WUs and eagerly awaiting new work to do....

I want to say the the calculation of the work buffer done by seti is not correct.
I have set 3 days a lot of months ago but now I see that after 2 (max 2.5) days I have no work to do.
May be this is caused by the high st.dev among work units.
