I have a same sort of thing. In my tasklist..(resultslist..) (on the webpage) a allready validated (and removed WU) is showing up again. My system reported the WU as done 1st of aug. 2012. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2539448459 What's wrong ? |

hmmmm... No I have too choose.. go back to 12.6.. or leave 12.8... love to play SWTOR every now and than. The 12.8 solves some SWTOR issues though. <grin> Thanks for the info. |

okay ! changed the interface language. The setting I mentions is: "On multiprocessor systems, use at most xx% of the processor" thanks! |

Hi Claggy! That are answeres that are usable!.. okay.. I thing you mean the "use max xx% from the processor." (don't know what it sais in eng.. I have a dutch interface). But wil it help to lower the "use max xx% CPU time" Or do I realy have to say to use just 7 "cores" from the CPU. Thanks! |

True. But read what happens is in the post.. Will try to explain in other words. The first task running after starting BOING is going "okay". Then the "second" task is running and it's like it's running on just the CPU. To complete the second "in a short". I have to stop boinc and start it aging. Then the task is running, till it's done. Then the next task again is running very slowly. Again It's like it's only running on the CPU at that moment. I have no complaints!! Only questions. ;) I only expect activity on the GPU? According to the catalyst driver there is none or very little. With the old old catalyst 11.3(x64) and (yes i know) opt apps from lunatics the activity on the GPU was "continuously high". Maybe I'm wrong.... That's why I wrote it looks like... And yes I did gorget to mention that I only had astropuls task for the GPU..Sorry! Cant's say anythin about the others at the moment. didn't had those tasks yet. It looks like ATI stock openCL apps don't work for me.. sorry! |

Hi, It looks like ATI stock openCL apps don't work for me.. sorry! using ATI radion HD 5870 with catalyst 12.8(x64) driver BOINC 7.0.28(x64). GPU&Grpfx-memory clock is high (temperature goes up) but there is no activity.(default settings GPU&Grpfx-memory not overclocked) activity on the card goes up after stopping tasks running on the CPU. Have similar issues with opt-apps. Had best results using catalyst 11.3(x64) driver in the past. (using opt-apps) |

Hi, I didn't know where to place this post.so excuse me if i did chose the wrong topic! i'm using a ATI HD5870 GPU to crunch some WU's. From the moment i build this GPU into the system i used the catalyst 11.2 driver (including the opencl). (system runs windows 7 64bit) Now this driver package is update some times since the one i use. I thought to update my driver to catalyst 11.9 That is wehere the problems started. The problem is not the use of this driver in combination with the system itselve. But it looks like the WU's are slower processed by the optimzed applications. (from lunatics site, the apps from the "installer 0.38"). It looks like the GPU is used "just for a little ", activity is low with 11.9 driver. (activity is 0% for al "long "time, then for a short time the activity is "low" for example 20%). With the 11.2 driver the activity of the GPU is allmost constantly "high". Anyone experienced the same? Tried a few times uninstalling an reinstalling both 11.2 and 11.9 catalyst driver package. I'm back to 11.2 now. it looks to me this driver is better for crunching. but anyone an idea.. am i doing someting wrong? grtz, Pascal |

Hi Claggy, thnx! but.. Tried forcing to contact the website. Work isn't downloaded.. you allready noticed the id's ;) Just noticed that the id of the system maybe changed?? Don't know why. didn't make any changes to the system itselve though. (no deinstall and reinstall of boinc.) and i can't, for some reason, merge the two on the website.. ?? grtz |

Hi Matt, Thanks for the information.. Question: Is that also the reason for the following? According to the webpages showing my running and finished WU's, my system should be crunching some WU's. Wu's that were created and sended today march 22 2011. But in reality there are no tasks running. Again thanks for the info. grtz, Pascal |

Hi, I don't know how or why... But I managed to get it back ... what i did. -stop boinc and running tasks. -copy the VLAR files that are now in the directory (4). (make a backup) -delete the seti@home application. + files (all users/app data/boinc.......) -copy the backuped VLAR's to original location. -start boinc and get new work. (in my case for 10 days) -all (16 = including the 4 backuped) running tasks are back and "send date/time" is now set to today. nothing lost. a nice to know ?? or a "on purpose feature".??? Or is this what you ment by detaching en reattache? So now i will complete these tasks with the "stock application" after that i'll change the app. thnx. Pascal |

Hi, While looking for a optimized application for Seti@home and installing it. I missed the line about wait before install the app till work is done. So i lost 10 days of workunits that was in the que. On the "my results"page this work has the status "running". The client didn't report work as false. Is it possible to redownload the so called running tasks? Or if that isn't possible how do i correct it , eg is it possible to repost workunits as faulty. grtz, Pascal |
