Doesn't anyone in the management think that it would be proper to notify the Users of seti@home regarding the unscheduled maintenance operations which end up in total (as in scheduled maintenance) or partial (as in "Task View" is not available since longer than 24 hours as of now) shutdown(s) with explanation(s) and/or expected return period(s) to normal operation(s)... ??? It may be that most of the users will not be able to understand the technicality that lies beneath, but they will definitely feel that they are being thought of and informed... Hope I make a small point here...

Sorry for my next response's delay... Yesterday there was an unexpected power outage here which lasted around 8 hours, at the end of which I unfortunately lost one of my desktops... :( Today I checked all my other machines and I found little or no blc01 tasks, except those that were most recently uploaded and waiting in queue... Most of the tasks were 15,16,19,20,21,22,23,24,28,29oc's , and blc22 & 23's. Now if my sharp drop was due to these other task types, I shiver thinking about what will become of the RAC when blc01's will start running... I think as a voluntary tester you must have more access of the operations and developments inside the Seti@Home system... Can I ask you a favor of looking deeper into my problem, if it is not a big deal...? I really am extremely frustrated... I have been a seti member now slightly over 4 years, and I have even purchased laptops and desktops and put them into sole seti use (24/7)... I WILL APPRECIATE DEEPLY ANY LIGHT THAT SHINES OVER MY PROBLEMS... Thanks in advance if there is any new info, and also thanks if there isn't any... I'm hoping not to be a disturbance...

Since the last Maintenance on the 30th of October all my computers (9 of them) have suffered a steep fall on host RAC's... Likewise the total credits per machine per day have also dropped significantly... Is there any other user(s) who have also suffered such a decrease? If so was this maintenance responsible for this? Any input will be most welcome...

I expect a new Maintenance shutdown very soon... None of the major functions are working (except message boards maybe) and system has been turned on for what purposes it is not clear... Completed tasks has reached over 1000 now which was normally around 2~3~4 hundred at the max... No new tasks, and the credit function(s) has frozen....

29) Message boards : Number crunching : Where is Astropulse? (Message 1957162)
Posted 24 Sep 2018 by Profile B. Ahmet KIRAN
Post:
Can I cry one more time? Around the end of August I did get around 5~6 astropulse tasks into my (I think 4 different) computers... There is one still pending validation from early september, but no new astropulse tasks in none of my computers... My preferences are configured accoring to advices I got from the message boards and still no proper results?

Any advice to this dedicated Seti@home user?

It is Computer 8137277... I guess after the replies, that this could be due to a improper project reset that I had done (inadvertently) sometime back on this computer... Thanks for the prompt response...

In the last 6~7 days, there has been a very steep decline in RAC in all my (10 of them) machines... Has anyone else encountered the same? If so have they found reasons and/or remedies for such? SOMEONE HELP!!! We all like to see our RAC's stable, if not increasing... But a steep decrease??? There must be an explanation to this...
Advance Thanks for any response...

How are the Validation Pending Tasks sorted in Seti@home's user accounts? In mine I cannot find a logical sort principle... It is neither by "TASK", nor by "WORKUNIT", nor by "COMPUTER", nor by "SENT", finally nor by "TIME REPORTED"... And it also seems user cannot resort the list by clicking on these labels... WHY do you think this is do? Anyone any ideas?
