All of rain, sleet, and snow are all rolling in. All on very soggy ground and on some very big 'puddles'...

Thars gonna be an unholy mess of icy floods and muddy fun!

... Unless that is we get a pre-emptive freeze to then make for the sloshy fun later...

And the gang here seem rather subdued. Someone lost at darts or football??

Yep. On all counts.

With added wind...

There's going to be a bit of a mess to clean up later in the day...

Well it's a steamy 25C (feels like 26C) here as the clouds close it yet again. :-(

But I did get more carrot, lettuce, cabbage and shallot seeds in today. I also got some grocery shopping in as well as getting 25m of ag-pipe and another 2 bags of mushroom compost.

The ag-pipe is so I can fill in my french drain along the side fence finally and the compost is for another guru mix to set up another couple of small wicking tubs to experiment with some more veggie types.

Cheers.

All is lost in an all enveloping wet grey murk. At least it's nothing like as breezy noisy as was earlier.

We're back into the 'wintertime subdued' mode...

... And I've still not had a chance to get a decent sized coffee mug!

Enjoy some bright lights and doing some activity?

I'm having a hard time stirring this lot into meaningful useful action... At least I can move over to something more useful in the afternoon to finally make a start on a useful upgrade... Long delayed from the end of December last year! So much for timelines...

It's all a conspiracy of "immediate emergencies"...

Management? Yes, we could do with them helping out on the job to remind them of reality... Or even of even seeing them in reality!!

All good fun!

... And my brew is done and gone and I'm back to action for another dose of more fun!

Two more days to go...

Just been on a successful forage for emergency supplies...

... And here's hoping for no further delay...

And the sleet and rain has subsided to merely non-freezing drizzle...

YAY!!!

Where can I get one???!!!

(Full admission... I have been using an old-style traditional pub pint jug glass... University/College student style... It did survive a surprisingly large number of hot coffee cycles before cracking...)

And some rib me for using 2 cup mugs. LOL

After a 17C (felt like 16C) start here we're now up to a breezy and muggy 20C (feels like 18C) on our way to 25C.

Well I've checked on my wicking tubs, topping up as required, and after another mil of rain late yesterday the yard is still soggy so I didn't bother with the crazy potatoes and berserk pumpkins and I certainly won't be putting the mower on it as yet, but it really needs mowing and the forecast isn't looking good for it drying out anytime soon.

Anyhow I might as well get my last coffee for the morning in before heading back outside.

Cheers.

The Starbucks mug weighs 9.5 kilos without coffee.

Got my electric bill for January said a few expletives. I’ve been going back and forth with maintenance getting my gas furnace working properly. So I have been using a space heater to warm my flat. It works wonderfully. I put it in the main living area and set it for 75°f and even in my bedroom it was comfortable. Then the electric bill was twice as high with three times the kilowatt usage close to 1000. Ouch. Maintenance did finally figure the furnace problem to a carbon covered heat sensor. After a cleaning it was working once again.

Does that come with a long straw?

Well we made it to 25C (felt like 23C) today and as daylight quickly fades away it's down to 18C (feels like 16C) with 14C expected in the morning.

Anyhow it's time to see what's on the idiot box tonight.

Cheers.

Ok... That is a little too giant sized even for my swimming in coffee! Thanks, giggle!

And we have a beautiful bright sunny morning.

Now just have to work on brightening up the progress here...

(Progress is being made but oh too slowly for my patience. We're going to be overseeing this lot all summer at this rate! And we've had our suggestion of a training course for them turned down. Looking forward to escaping back to civilisation on the swap over on Sunday, yay!)

Unexpectedly warm morning. No sun, large 2-cup capacity earthware mug filled with a Buena Vista dark roast blend, with a hit of chocolate, red apple maple, and some Italian Sweet cream.
Air temp 43f outside and 60f inside. I don't run any heat overnight so it was warm waking up. Getting ready to take some sunrise shots. I have over 40 min until it officially rises.

Beautiful sunshine and I'm on schedule to miss enjoying any of it...

The upgrades are delayed due to this lot being so slow going about things... They might just about be ok with a 36 hour day... (Which planet is that on?!)
