When will Ukraine gain freedom and make its own Armistice day?

Hmmm, in May 1944, was it possible back then to predict the end of the war, which was already lost in 1943? (We probably have a lot more precise information on Russia today). Strategically, the war is lost for Russia; its war goals are unattainable. But it depends on the West how long the slaughter continues and if Ukraine can liberate its territorries.

The weather has been undoing a lot of PooTin's Crimean defenses that took months to construct.

Russia's Crimea Defense Line Washed Away in Brutal Storm.

Crimea Videos Show 30-Foot Waves Pounding Russia-Occupied Peninsula.

I wonder how many drowned rats came out of those trenches.

Meanwhile PooTin is still having a tank problem, in more ways than 1.

Ukraine Destroys Three Russian Tank Battalions in a Single Week.

Video Shows Huge Explosions at Russian Tractor Plant Used to Repair Tanks.

And the women of Russia as well as the troops are not happy with how things are going.

Russian Soldiers' Wives Protest Against Putin: 'We Got Screwed!'.

Russian Soldiers Complain of Inept Commanders.

As the U.K. reports that Russia is Suffering Heaviest Troop Losses Since Start of War.

How much longer can PooTin keep his country from falling apart while pursuing his criminal war?

The reality of Putin's war against Ukraine:

Filmmaker captures the brutal Russian siege of a Ukrainian city

And hear the reality for the people and families and their partners to keep Ukraine alive against our modern day Stalin:

(Long interview but compelling... The interviewer is taken aback on the reality of some of the comments...)
How a 10 year war In Ukraine could bleed out Putin

One very scary aspect: Tucker Carlson is Putin's most disturbing weapon.

Russia wins:

... Viktor Orbán’s attempts to block EU membership for Ukraine – cartoon

And for Putin's additional allies, we have the MAGA GOP Republicans openly stating their wish to block ALL funds to Ukraine so as to promote a Communist take-over by Putin and China.

Incredible, and very definitely not in the interests of the USA or of the World.

All for the sake of a "Game of Politics"?

And many people die needlessly unnecessarily.

Can we take those GOPpers out to the front lines in Ukraine/Russia, whichever is their preference?

Stay safe folks?

And doesn't "GOP" these days stand for "Generally Oppressive Party" just like your PooTin and Xi parties are (not to mention a multitude of others)?

The USA Republicans have won what?...

Kyiv forced to cut military operations as foreign aid dries up

It comes as billions of dollars of US and EU aid have been held up amid political wrangles...

We've had Putin trying to freeze the West over last Christmas.

We've recently had a Chinese ship deliberately drag its anchor to sever a gas pipeline between Finland and Denmark.

We now have:

BP pauses all Red Sea shipments after rebel attacks
wrote:
Oil giant BP has announced it is pausing all shipments of oil through the Red Sea after recent attacks on vessels...

... oil prices could rise. Brent crude, the international benchmark for oil prices, increased...

... The Red Sea is one of the world's most important routes for oil and liquefied natural gas shipments, as well as for consumer goods...

The Christmas present from Putin.

Happy Festivities!??...

You have the wrong culprit there Martin and as much of the world's unrest can be placed at PooTin's feet the Red Sea problem was caused by Benji not PooTin.

Even your link makes no mention of PooTin, but it does mention Israel. ;-)

Maybe you might want to move that post elsewhere where it properly belongs?

... And really there is no connection with the timing and the diversion in the Middle East?

Pootin is the greatest winner all round:

  • USA and EU support distracted away from Ukraine;
  • Ammunition and aid diverted to Israel;
  • Political focus diverted to Middle East;
  • News focus and headlines all on the Middle East;
  • Oil and gas supplies threatened, far beyond what Russia can threaten alone.

Pootin wins big.

And Ukraine is forgotten and forsaken.

And for another aside: Anyone else noticed that a long out of the news ally of Russia and Iran, that small bit of dictatorship oil call Venezuela, has started its own "Special Military Operation" to seize 66% of the territory of its neighbor?

That is another big distraction for the USA and the military.

All just mere random coincidence?...

Stay safe?

PooTin certainly won't like that, but getting him and his cronies to pay for it sounds like a very good idea.

Russia's Billions Could Soon Help Fund Ukraine's Defense.

German Federal Prosecutor Peter Frank is looking to seize 720 million euros ($787 million) in Russian funds frozen in Germany following Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, amid a debate about how to redirect confiscated assets from Moscow to Kyiv.

Frank has applied to Frankfurt am Main Higher Regional Court to confiscate the money belonging to the Moscow Stock Exchange subsidiary National Settlement Depository (NSD), which was sanctioned by the EU in June 2022, Der Spiegel reported.

The German state has only frozen the funds and assets of sanctioned Russian individuals and companies that remain owners of the assets if they cannot dispose of them. But Der Spiegel described Frank's move as representing "a new dimension in the enforcement of international sanctions against Russia," according to a translation...

....In June, European Union leaders pushed senior officials to find legal ways to funnel proceeds from billions of dollars of frozen Russian assets into helping rebuild Ukraine.

The bloc has frozen more than $300 billion of Russian central bank assets since the start of the war and another 30 billion euros of Russian oligarchs' private assets were also immobilized....

Ukraine returns to the West:

Ukraine war: New Christmas date marks shift away from Russia
wrote:
For the first time since 1917, Ukraine is celebrating Christmas on 25 December [in the Gregorian calendar].

The move is more than just a change of date from 7 January - the date for Christmas in the Julian calendar, which Russia uses.

It's the continuation of a significant cultural shift in the country...

... The adoption of the Western, Gregorian calendar is also a sign of Kyiv's continuing bid to align itself with Europe.

Whether in war or peacetime, Christmas always comes...

... "But I think that we are more a neighbour of Europe," he says. "And the fact that we've now changed the calendar is not shifting away from Russia. It is us returning back to Europe, where we belong."...

Meanwhile, amidst a daring Ukrainian success, the Republicans go all Russian upon us all:

Ukraine says it downed three Russian Su-34 warplanes
wrote:
... Three Su-34 fighter bombers were shot down over Kherson region, the Ukrainian air force announced.

President Volodymr Zelensky thanked the servicemen who had downed the planes, saying the incident had occurred in war-torn Kherson Region.

Moscow has not commented on the claims, but influential Russian bloggers have reported losses...

... Ukraine is facing an ammunition shortage as it continues to fight occupying Russian forces, following Moscow's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Kyiv's counter-offensive ground to a halt at the start of the winter, and Republican representatives in the US - by far Ukraine's largest military backer - have been reluctant to further fund Ukraine's war effort...

That is quite daring and risky to push a Patriot system so close to the front line...

All whilst the Republicans starve Ukraine of ammunition. That starvation of funds and material needlessly costs extra lives... We really need to get those Republicans out there on the front line themselves...

All in a very deadly 'game' of politics?

PooTin continues to take out his frustrations against Ukrainian civilians seeing as his military are only the 2nd best in Ukraine.

But it came with consequences.
