Uhh, that's a widespread problem in most western societies. Isn't it? The number of party members is declining. Their number and distribution in individual regions is becoming increasingly unequal. An ever smaller part of society is involved in the nomination of political candidates. The circle of potential candidates is also getting smaller and smaller. Selecting the best, the most capable and the most convincing from a crowd of weak candidates does not lead to convincing personnel but streamlined, interchangeable phrase repeaters. Then populism arises and simply shouts: “MAGA”. Who is to blame for this? All of us who are not party members; all of us who do not participate in party work to form local political opinions; in the city council, in the district parliament... Me too.
