'Running round like headless chickens' doesn't come close to describing it.

Y'all made your bed running down the nationalist Rump road. Least we kept enough adults in the room.

Trouble ahead

The Irish backstop will be the least of their problems.

Think that meme in Trump's thread is very valid.

It seems all the clowns DID enter politics.

Add to that, Gavin Williamson: Drone 'swarm squadrons' to be deployed by military

Now, they are (or perhaps just one particularly stupid one is) talking about rearmament. It's not just drones:

He also warned in a speech that the UK needs a bolder and stronger armed forces prepared to use "hard power".
I thought we'd learned where that leads, 80 years ago this year?

Wow, trains can run on water?

Government sued

Just wondering what language the Eurotunnel lawyers speak?

Think someone should hand them a "maritime" dictionary.

How someone can get a government contract without even owning a tender certainly has us Aussies perplexed. :-O

Actually, I think they have a point. When SeaFrance was liquidated in 2012, EuroTunnel leased two of the ferries and ran them under the name MyFerryLink. That was ruled unfair by the (British) Competition Commission - later replaced by the Competition and Markets Authority (potentially suggesting a possible answer to the age-old question "why is there only one Monopolies Commission?").

Under the changed circumstances, I can see some merit to re-opening that decision, when new ferries are needed.

It's been clear for some time that the Labour party is like the old joke where three blind men describe an elephant by touch alone.

Ask Labour voters, Labour members, and Labour MPs (separately) what the Labour party is / should be in the 21st century, and I think you'd get three different answers. At least.

I'll be watching with interest, but I'm certainly not going to be jumping to any snap, glib, conclusions.

Ooooooooooooooh, that's messed up their majority.
The group now has more MPs in Parliament than the Democratic Unionist Party and equals the number of Liberal Democrats.
Just wonder what their constituents think of those MP's?

I think that more would jump, but would run into difficulties with their constituents or the local party leaders.

Brexit crops up everywhere. It came up in a conversation with BOINC developers just now. One of them sent me

Brexit III: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) - 5,289,249 views.

But - "The uploader has not made this video available in your country." (England). My correspondent says "It is because they show clips from Parliament in a comedy show. :)" - a restriction also mentioned frequently on HIGNFY.

So the rest of the world is watching us and laughing at us - and we're not allowed to know. Isn't it wonderful to live in such a mature, self-confident, democracy.
