Food stamps and almost every other benefit were only introduced in the 20th century. Try staying alive and keeping your family alive with no home and no income of any kind, as they had to do .

What is sad, is everyone constantly blaming the actions of others, for their own problems or shortcomings.
Me? I take full responsibility for where I have ended up in life. Not just because its a good place.
I have my opinion of things in this world. Others have their own.
If you think that an 11 year old stealing clothes 100 years ago, or whatever, has anything to do with why a spoiled athlete is disrespecting the symbol of his country, well, then our thought processes are vastly different.
