I was listening to an old radio show on ROK some months back and they brought up a question wondering if it would be true or not. this space ship had two people on board going to another planet which took I think 6 months. When they got there the governor of this planet had a dinner set up, He gave them old canned food while he had fresh stake, he said you probably wondering why I gave you that food ? it's because when you leave and get back where you started it would be like you never ate and you would be dead. So you have to eat the old food interesting question. |

Depends on if the food was stored in same way as the humans during the trip, flesh is flesh... |

Stephen I don't know if I'm telling it right. but what I understood was on his return trip home he had to eat[ the food he came with. he couldn't eat the food of the future because it wouldn't be grown yet. good brain teaser . |

This sounds like a time dilation scenario and I always have a hard time comprehending that. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Stephen I don't know if I'm telling it right. Could be said for a lot of things, water and fresh food in general, could end up coming back malnourished and dehydrated! Good question! |

...... I'm not sure time even exists and it depends on relativity and the speed they were traveling. The question for me is why two people would travel to a place knowing they would be dead when they got back? Why travel? Why go back? The thought is that the governor is a carnivor and rather selfish so gave these two space travellers old mildewed baked beans to poisen them and hide his animal eating lust. To complete the story you need to tell us what the time perspective was from the governor point of view? Perhaps this an anti-vegetarian space \ time travelling story? :))))~ |
