I had to re-install BOINC on my Mac. The install seemed to go OK, but the BOINC Manager doesn't connect to the localhost.

Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4
BOINC Manager 7.8.6
TouchBar MacBook Pro

Any suggestions?

Solved.

There was some BOINC process running in the background, preventing the connection to localhost.
I force quit that process, and re-launched the BOINC Manager. It connected to localhost and everything is now working.
