After a lot of trying I finally got Boinc to download work units. However it doesn't process them, it just stays at 0%. When downloading the work units the only error message I got was "verify_downloaded_file(): projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu\\better_banner.jpg: MD5 check failed". Would this stop Boinc processing WUs, and if so how can I solve it? I've reset the project 5 or 6 times with no difference.

Maurice, if you would like, send an email to seti(at)starshipdatabase.org, and I'll reply with the better_banner.jpg file attached. Just put it in that directory, and maybe it'll work properly. Frankly, I've never had, nor heard of, this happening before...

It is a rare problem where a supporting file is corrupted in transfer. A project reset will get a fresh download going (if the server is up).

If a workunit file is corrupt it just goes to the next one, but if the supporting files get corrupted BOINC gets stuck.
