I am running the Lunatics distribution under Windows on 2 computers. I would LIKE to get the Seti graphics back without losing the major speed up of my cpu processing on one computer.

Since it would be yet another burden to ask the volunteer developers to create an AVX version with Seti graphics (don't need a screen saver, just the graphics) I am looking for a (loop able?) recording of the Seti graphics that I can "pretend" I am crunching.

I hope this makes sense since I am about to re-run my Lunatics installer and return to the AVX processing I know and love.... :)

If you use the electricity to keep monitors on that aren't being used. Then perhaps you could use an animated gifs or video of the screen saver running as a screensaver.

Many years ago (early BOINC days) someone here did make a video or animated gif of the old Seti Classic screensaver, but that's the only details that I can remember.

Maybe some inspired person could make another 1 up.

Cheers.

Doing a quick search I found a few dozen videos on youtube.

If it's displaying graphics, it's going to reduce processing ability one way or another.
