According to Aftonbladet, Buzz Aldrin is, by way of relatives, related to Sweden's current Prime Minister Stefan Löfven. Stable boy â€Stalle-Pelle†are their relative. LOL:) Buzz Aldrin Stefan Löfven |

@ janneseti I came in this thread by means of the first or initial post being visible only and next getting the picture of Buzz Aldrin when next choosing to make a post of it. Becoming a bit of surprise and perhaps could be avoided, because in fact it is a total of two pages here. Except for that, always the difference between the United States and Europe. My guess is that Donald Trump as president of the United States is not the most popular. But from a European perspective, I find the same to be more or less true when it comes to the german Chancellor, again needing a scroll-down to the next page for the name. A Chancellor is not the same as a president either and for this I rather would compare with the president of France for such a thing. In the United States, we do not have the Prime Minister, only the president, vice President, next the Secretary of State. I make this real life Politics for such a thing and not their respective titles, because a governor is not supposed to be any Secretary of State either. Therefore I choose to make that of leadership at least two things and possibly even more. First of all, it is about the title, namely that of Chancellor versus Prime Minister and of course that of President. Next that of popularity, meaning that Economics should perhaps be a more important subject or theme, rather than possible "Idiosyncracies" or the like. Guess we possibly have a couple of names or wordings for such a thing, but for now not necessarily any science here. Therefore the current Chancellor does not go that well with me either, because my country is not part of the European Union directly. If the current leadership rather was either the United Kingdom, or maybe France, except for those fancy ones, which may not necessarily be trusted, things probably would be slightly better off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demagogue For now I think that Donald Trump could be the opposite and for now I do not have a similar name for such a thing. My guess is that Donald Trump could make the choice of forgetting that of Europe, but still perhaps the difference around. The United States is a loose collection of States, each with their own respective or individual sovereignty. The Chancellor wants Europe to be a centralized and beuracrised society based on that of "Federalism", as far as I can tell, but needs checking. Also the European Union means the Euro as a common currency as well and here perhaps slightly better. My guess is that even at the top, such a thing as common decision making should be the theme around. The president of the United States is supposed to be in charge of command by means of an excecutive position or authority and not necessarily any "Head of State". If that of the Executive Branch next means either possible Autocracy, or even Dictatorship, we probably do not have such a thing either. But only the fact that this branch next means only the president and not anyone else. Perhaps the fact about events of the past could be a reminder and that for some reason a cleanup or possible excuse for acts being committed never was apologized or excused. The Germans are still supposed to be fat on their Hot Dogs, or the like and like the French and others, they do not speak any English that well. The fact is that the United States left Europe after the second World War with a Europe in shambles and because of that next left undecided. The fall of one dictator did not give rise for yet another one and most likely this will not happen either. Becomes an edit for the name of the german Chancellor. Edit: The name of the Chancellor is Angela Merkel, when reading the news from my national broadcaster. |

Eh? What's your point? And where are you from? First you write: "In the United States, we do not have the Prime Minister, ...". Then: "...because my country is not part of the European Union directly." Do you live in two continents? |

@janneseti Do you happen to know my original join date here at Seti@home? Come on, do not be a stupid fool, at least not with me. Also perhaps a reason I chose not to be ugly with the president of the United States. For now at least make it that of Politics. Sigh, janneseti . . . |

@janneseti I asked "What's your point?" And yes, your join date 5 Sep 2012. What has that to do with anything? |

Some info to our US friends. Forget your history books and what you was taught in high school. The United Nations has classified Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as Northern European countries instead of Eastern European.* According to the United Nations, Northern European countries are Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Eastern European countries are, according to the classification, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine. http://estonianworld.com/life/un-reclassifies-estonia-northern-european-country/ Soon it will perhaps a NEU instead of an EU. Welcome to NEU:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSacz4GHQjs |

All Nordic heads of state are celebrating @SuomiFinland100 in Helsinki today. Finland's Independence Day (Finnish: itsenäisyyspäivä, Swedish: självständighetsdagen) is a national public holiday, and a flag day, held on 6 December to celebrate Finland's declaration of independence from the Russian Republic in 1917. The celebrations has already started 6 months before. Hyvää Suomi:) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(Finland) |

Are all the Crosses on the Flags. Nordic (Christianity) Crosses? Hmm. Actually I don't know:) I know that the Swedish flag is what the army used in battle from about 500 hundred years ago but not until about 200 years ago also used as a national symbol. Our National Day is June 6th, that is this Tuesday! Nobody knows why since we don't have independence days to celebrate... |

Are all the Crosses on the Flags. Nordic (Christianity) Crosses? Now I got curious. I don't even know why I'm a Swede:) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Day_of_Sweden National Day is celebrated partly in memory of the 1809 constitution (which ran until the 1974 constitution) and the day when Gustav Vasa was elected Sweden's king 1523 - Sweden became a united country and broke the Kalmar Union - and the events have the same date: June 6th. And it wasn't until 2005 that day become a holiday! And still most people don't celebrate that day. It's like a normal Sunday here. Confused? So am I:) |

One Big difference. How many of you guys in the US have met politicians in real life? Shopping at a mall? Walking home from a movie? Waiting in a line in post office waiting for a parcel. Commuting in the subway? Shopping at a grocery store? Having a beer after hours watching soccer? Having a cup of coffee on the street corner? That's seven examples that I remember of ministers that I have met in real life. btw. "Bettan" my neighbor and covfefe drinker and former minister of Justice, was fired yesterday. Her last statement. "How will the coffee supply to the total defense be secured?" |

Have met plenty here and even Prime Ministers, and they don't need to have 20 SUV loads of personal security around them (1 maybe, but sometimes 2 SUV's worth). Bob Hawke was a great 1 to have a few beers with on several occasions. ;-) Cheers. |

Former President Nixon, while taking his morning stroll in Manhattan, with Secret Service behind him. The difference here where I met politicians is that they didn't have any Secret Service around! I like that:) |
