Yes, if you do a detach/re-attach you will loose whatever work (completed or otherwise) that is on your computer. From what you are saying you've already tried the BOINC "update" button a few times. With your computers hidden it is hard to work out what sort of questions to ask, so if you unhide your computers people may be able to assist you. Also posting the first 30 lines of the BOINC "event window". Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Did you use weak account key when you added the host to Seti? Weak account key is changed when password is changed. You can edit the account file and update the account key there. See Account keys. You must shutdown BOINC client (boinc.exe) before you edit the file. |

Sorry to hear about your youngest, I trust she isn't too badly hurt. The start-up part of the log is more important as it gives information about what is being detected or not found. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Thanks for un-hiding your computer. It shows the last contact was on the 17th, that is five days ago. Now, cast your mind back - did anything happen back then? My guess is that's when you tried to change your password. It is worth trying Juha's link, it may give you the information you need to get back in touch with the server. All the best.
