Trump muses about yanking news media credentials in response to negative coverage

If you can't stand the heat Mr. Trump, get out of the kitchen.

Apparently in his own mind everything he does is perfect so anything negative -- no matter the truth -- is fake.

He is not a person who should be trusted with classified information.

LA Times not available to Europeans these days.

Unfortunately, our website is currently unavailable in most European countries. We are engaged on the issue and committed to looking at options that support our full range of digital offerings to the EU market. We continue to identify technical compliance solutions that will provide all readers with our award-winning journalism.

Is this the result of new European internet regulations?
Yes.
https://www.eugdpr.org/
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.
Well the US had already TWO YEARS to conform to this regulation.
Apparently data privacy in the US is not important...

That is the problem with a Regulated country, society and people. This must also be understood and guarded against.

This regulates companies, to protect people and is the total reverse of the way Net neutrality is heading in the US

It has been really great here, I have had many e-mails from companies I had totally forgotten had my information, asking me for permission to keep it, I have been able to refuse all the ones I no longer need, ( most of them).

Of course they may well ignore this but if discovered using peoples data without authority then there will be big fines in their future.

Privacy should always be a personal option! Hope it works it is long overdue.

I can't see any problem with regulations that are protecting citizens.
And where citizens have the right to demand companies to delete their own personal data.
https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/reform/rights-citizens_en

Now does LA Times and other news agencies keep personal data and won't delete personal data when asked?
Most likely otherwise this wouldn't happen.

It certainly separates those who insist on monetize people versus those who treat people as humans. We know where Tronc Media falls. I strongly suspect that another amendment to add to the bill of rights will be needed soon.

Two weeks passed Google without a review by the Data Inspectorate in Sweden after the introduction of GDPR on 25 May.
The Data Inspectorate sent a letter to Google last Friday, asking for answers to why the company has not removed several search results, reports Di Digital.
As a result, Google is threatening a fine of up to four percent of global sales. Last year, the company had a turnover of almost 27 billion Euro, which, according to Di Digital's calculations, would mean a fine of just over 1 billion Euro.

BTW: While both are bad. Data Mining by Governments and their Law Enforcement/Intelligence Agencies of private citizens. Is a much more dangerous problem than Data Mining for profits.

For profits sell to governments. Same Problem.

Faux News: https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/credit-service-shuts-down-payments-on-all-gun-purchases
Credit service Intuit shuts down payments on all gun purchases

Real News: https://intuitblog.com/news-social/intuits-response-to-recent-media-coverage-about-our-payments-policy/
Our company does NOT prohibit ANY of these regulated industries — including the firearms industry — from using QuickBooks for payment processing. In fact, many do so today. However, for these transactions our bank partner requires them to be done face-to-face. To meet this requirement, our policy today requires the customer to be present to swipe their credit card.

That's FAUX!

Will Fox News remain Faux News?

Yes. Unfortunately they are only able to by the movie company, not the TV company.

Denmark's finance minister rages against the American television channel Fox News after a feature that resembles Venezuela.
https://twitter.com/trish_regan/status/1028702662387163137
- No food, no job, violence, robbery. That's how socialism looks in Venezuela. The Venezuelans starve. When Democrats talk about socialism, they say, "We are not talking about Venezuela, we are talking about Denmark," said Fox News host Trish Reagan.
"Something is rotten in Denmark," she claims. Reagan then puts out incorrect statistics to show that "no one wants to work" in Denmark, saying that - compared with the US - high tax rates mean that all Danes practically work for the state.
- Excuse my language, but she simply pee on Denmark, says Danish Finance Minister Kristian Jensen.

Even russian RT and Sputnik have better journalism!
Or should I say propaganda...
