Two Los Angeles police officers pleaded no contest Monday to sexually assaulting multiple women, a pattern of predation in which one partner often served as the lookout while the other carried out an attack in their unmarked police car.

In a downtown L.A. courtroom, officers Luis Valenzuela and James C. Nichols entered their no-contest pleas to two counts each of forcible rape and two counts each of forcible oral copulation.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen sentenced the men to 25 years in state prison, and ordered that they register as sex offenders.

If tried and convicted, the men had faced a maximum penalty of life in prison.

The two departments most posted about have been corrupt since day 1. Day 1 was back in the 1850's.

Maybe the other reason is transparency. Can't hide the crap in a progressive environment.

More than a year after he was placed on paid leave, the federal government rolled out its case against Pasadena Police Lieutenant Vasken Gourdikian.

Gourdikian, 48, of Sierra Madre, surrendered Friday morning to federal authorities.

He pleaded not guilty Friday afternoon at an arraignment before Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian in Los Angeles on federal charges of selling guns without a federal firearms license, making false statements on Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives forms, and possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle.

Gourdikian was named by a federal grand jury on Thursday in the four-count indictment.

If convicted of all charges, Gourdikian faces a maximum of 35 years in federal prison.

I have actually met some honest cops from the US.
One from New York and one from New Hampshire.
So from my experience all US cops are honest:)

This is worth a read as it is very similar. I notice that the Mirror article still calls the perpetrators "Asian", so it appears they have not learned anything from this. The Wikipedia article addresses this as well:

However, coming from a culture that has established a religious basis for routinely treating women as second-class citizens whose pleas for help against abuse from males are often ignored would certainly be a contributing factor.

The problem with Sharia Law in the West is that those that demand it be implemented cherry pick which is most favourable to them.
If non life threatening they choose Sharia, if life threatening they choose our laws.

Many of Sharia Law's judgements require loss of limbs or life.

What peoples cultures and/or religions allow. Is not pertinent to the failure of British Authorities.
