Precisely Gary. I envision a future where I am an aging center-left liberal, and the two parties in power are a more left version of democrats (maybe democratic socialists) on the left, and libertarians on the right. +2 |

Merkel damaging the West more than Trump A rather long article that you link to. The only mention of Angela is an opinion two sentences long... The leader of the union’s largest Christian Democrat party, Angela Merkel, has let more than a million mainly Muslim immigrants into her country this year alone. The East German pastor’s daughter is surely a much nicer person than Donald J Trump, but I wonder if she is not doing more actual harm to the future of the West. |

Did she open the stable door? Yes or No. Did Trump try to close that door? Yes or No. |

Did she open the stable door? Yes or No. Bush breached the dam, and it has washed away. |

Lucky Trump. He is probably going to make credit of this after being a president less than two month. |

You're just looking to find publications that re-enforce your view. Try questioning your beliefs a bit and see if they actually stack up in the world where the US is only one (a big one granted) of many players. And also try to see if there might not be just a few unintended consequences. What does happen when you cut off health care, except for emergencies, to the poor. Does it have an impact on mental health. Will that actually help hospitals, now with smaller budgets and an increase in emergency cases? Or will it just switch federal taxes to local taxes. That is what is happening in the UK, governments have said "no tax increases" so less is distributed to local authorities and therefore local authorities increase the "council tax" or reduce essential services, like less police, less ambulances, fire station closures so it now takes 10 minutes for a response when it used to be under 5 minutes. Or care homes for the elderly close so now hospital beds have to be used to cater for those who have difficulty looking after themselves, again an unintended increase in health costs. And if you mix in relaxed gun control, what happens? Could it mean you get more "crazies" with guns causing havoc in public spaces, or maybe more important, places where there are children like parks and schools, again an unintended increase in health costs. |

No point in asking a tea party member to think of consequences. That is beyond their ability to fathom. Everything has a simplistic answer and life is beautiful all the time, in the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds, and basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes. |

The US president Donald Trump continues to take up Sweden as an example of a country with a failed immigration policy. In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday night, he defended again his high-profile statement about Sweden. Moron! Btw. Here we now call Fox News for Trump News! |

"It will be the biggest tax cut since Reagan and probably bigger than Reagan." And what did Reagan do in the years after 1981? |

More good news from our new president. If only your link went to a reputable site and not to.... a conservative political blog founded by Jim Hoft after the United States presidential election, 2004.[2][3][4][5] It is allied with Donald Trump and elements of the alt-right and extreme right in American politics.[6][7][8][9] The website is known for publishing falsehoods and spreading hoaxes.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16] , but it's your alternative reality isn't it? source Cheers. |

Wikipedia: where truth dies online This particular article has complete citations to reputable sites, which (the few) fake ones don't. An example of these citations listed is from the "conservative"-leaning The Hill: Sean Hannity apologizes for using fake news story to attack Obama Fox News anchor Sean Hannity apologized on Tuesday for referencing a fake news article on his radio show that claimed that Michelle Obama was deleting tweets about Hillary Clinton. |
