My 17yo Purrball kitty just jumped up on my chest and started making biscuits like hell would not have it.
Never, ever before, has she done that.
And when she was done, she hopped off and now sits by my side with the most adoring eyes ever. As in 'was that good, Dad?'

These forums allow me so much.

The freedom to be who I must be, as sad as I must be at times. But also as happy as I can be once in a while.

I cannot thank you enough for allowing both of my sides to show.

I have little control over which part of me will contribute on one day or another. I really do not.
Drugs for it have had little effect over the years, so I have abandoned them.
I am who I am, when and where I am.

You can either accept that, or abandon me as many others have.

I have remained, steadfast, to this project for a good portion of my life now.
I own that, I have earned that credibility.

Even when I get off center, you must know that is true.

I have kept and maintained more computing power on this project for.................how long now?
And I DO think that is a badge of honor.

At least in my mind, if not be so in yours.

When I get off on a high horse, remember this.
I do not consider myself to be a better user than any one of you.
I only wish you to consider that I have laid in more time and have accumulated more credits in doing so than most any of you.

I would think that would garner more respect than it has.

I wake int the morning, if I can sleep at all, and attend to the crunchers.
Every morning, I leave my bed and check them. And then I go back to bed to try to get some more sleep.

I am getting older, and it is getting increasingly harder to do that.

One day, I am just gonna say f it. And roll back over to cuddle with the cats.

I wish I would get some recognition from my compatriots for what I have done.

Every morning, I leave my bed and check them. And then I go back to bed to try to get some more sleep.

I am getting older, and it is getting increasingly harder to do that.

We're the same age, so I can relate to the difficulties of leaving the bed to check the computer.
I have but one computer to look at and it exhausts me, I cannot imagine looking at several.

Your efforts every morning are at par with those of a Kentucky coal miner on a double shift and you put everyone with only a single rig to shame.
I better not see anyone else complaining about how hard it is to check their single computer again.

Well, thank you for the kind words there, Robert.
It has been quite a ride getting to where I am now.....LOL.
And I ain't done just yet.

But, right now I have to shut down the daily driver to upgrade the HD. Actually, the SSD.
The 258Gb Samsung I am using is chock full......a lot of which is due to my music hunting for my iPod.

Got a 512Gb of the same model, and I already have the Samsung data migration software loaded from when I switched from my old Seagate HD to the 258 gig. And the USB/SATA adapter is also still at hand.

Dunno how long it shall take, but hope it goes smoothly.
