Dunno quite what to do about that...

Might want to try again. I just did a recompile with some different options. Maybe it will help. Windows Defender is not complaining about this version, at least ...

At this point, anyone who wishes to is welcome to come grab a copy and use it. If you do put it to use, I'd appreciate a quick note either here or in PM.

. . That "false positive" has gotten worse, now my AV software is saying the .zip file is/has a trojan and will not let me download it :(

Jeez, just can't catch a break here. I finally get it to where Defender/Essentials don't complain, now Avast and McAfee do ...

Just tried something else in compiling.
Perhaps 1.02f will be the magic one! Use quoted link.
Again, Defender shows clean ...

It should be possible to tell the AV programme it's OK to download.
Got to love how these programmes get all worked up over files such as these, but have troubles stopping the really damaging ones.

Yeah, isn't it great? Would be interesting to know what all gets their feathers ruffled. Only think I can think of would be the TASKLIST, TASKKILL or REG QUERY commands. Everything else is pure vanilla ...

I've got McAfee here on my daily driver. It lets me download your zip file, but if I then scan it or try to extract the files, it quarantines QOpt.exe as a "GenericRXAD-US!F52088ED0710" trojan. Of course, clicking the link for further info on that trojan yields "Sorry, we found 0 results matching your search criteria." Such is the world of McAfee!

Yeah, from what I've been able to determine, anything that has the word Generic in it is probably doing nothing more than keying on one or more of the commands listed above.

Just for grins, here's a copy of this that was compiled 64 bit instead of 32 bit. Dunno if it will help, but maybe someone can take a peek and let me know.

No issues detected by McAfee here on QOpt_64.exe.

OK, Thanks! Maybe a 64-bit compile is the key. Wonder how many folks that leaves out?

Well, my daily driver is 32-bit, but I wasn't actually planning on using your program (or Mr. Kevvy's) since I have my own VLAR rescheduler. I was just testing the download since I happen to have McAfee.

Could you try uploading an unzipped 32-bit version of your program? Just to make sure it isn't the compressed .exe within the zip file that's causing a problem.

ESET found no problems with the Zip, I d/l'd the 64 bit and have run it a couple of times with no problems.

Thanks!

Nope, this time McAfee actually blocked the download. The trojan it supposedly detected is different, though: Artemis!9F2DFD266883. Again, not found in their threat database, however.
