Hello. I have a RaspberryPi device model B+. I got a task 06no10af.5689.1703.9.36.86 but twice I catch an error: Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.542650] Internal error: Oops - undefined instruction: 0 [#1] PREEMPT ARM Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.648012] Process setiathome_8.02 (pid: 2193, stack limit = 0xde2161b0) Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.655823] Stack: (0xde217eb0 to 0xde218000) Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.661216] 7ea0: de217ec0 bee76458 de216000 c0009794 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.671500] 7ec0: 00000000 bee76368 00000000 c0010a8c 5ac3c35a de217fb0 bee76368 c0010ee8 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.681797] 7ee0: 000d5378 14000000 0021b940 00000000 00000000 0000000e 00000000 00000080 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.692125] 7f00: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000002 00000000 de216000 00000000 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.702473] 7f20: 00000000 00000001 00000001 00015220 00000003 c05ff75c c0628a91 c0055fec Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.712870] 7f40: 00000011 00010000 00000001 c05ff75c de216000 00000000 00000040 002f1f60 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.723387] 7f60: 002eff31 002efe08 002e8958 c00560ec ee087aa7 0000000e de216018 de216000 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.733992] 7f80: 00000000 de217fb0 00000000 de216000 002efe08 c00111d8 00000000 0002b410 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.744703] 7fa0: 80000010 f200b200 00000040 c000df00 00b4806c bee766cc 0000002d 00b48080 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.755474] 7fc0: 00b47f80 0000000e 00b48088 00000040 002f1f60 002eff31 002efe08 002e8958 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.766296] 7fe0: 00b48138 bee76658 0002b3b8 0002b410 80000010 ffffffff 00000000 00000000 Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... kernel:[ 4708.849143] Code: e1a0f00e e1a0200d e1a0e009 eafffe89 (eca00b20) I have to abort this task and to pause receiving new tasks. Message from syslogd@raspberrypi at Apr 18 15:35:03 ... Yes, It's a known problem on the the Armv6 Pi, seems to have been introduced with the 6.12.x kernel, and hasn't been fully fixed yet. Claggy |

Hey Vitalii, Are you running Raspbian? I am. I successfully ran a unit on my Raspberry Pi Model B+. Before I installed boinc I did : sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade This way I had the latest of Raspbian. The Universe is not only stranger than you imagine, it's stranger than you can imagine. SETI@home classic workunits 1,405 CPU time 57,318 hours |

I'll try this. Thanks. Actually before my RaspberryPi have successfully finished one task. And only on the second one I got this error. So maybe this problem appears only when processing some special kind of data in tasks. |

Interesting. I processed one workunit with the Pi and then quit. The Universe is not only stranger than you imagine, it's stranger than you can imagine. SETI@home classic workunits 1,405 CPU time 57,318 hours |

I've updated my Raspbian as you mentioned but today I've got the same error. |

As an aside, there is an option to overclock the Pi2 from 900 to 1000 MHz. Noting that the chips were already pretty hot already running SETI at 900 MHz, I bought a couple of heatsinks, fitted them and dialled in the overclock. This resulted in 6 invalids and a hang. Dialling back to 900 seemed to get things to validate again. So overclocking isn't recommended but those heatsinks were only £2 off ebay so probably worth fitting anyway. |

My PI (not Pi2) is overclocked to 1GHz and it's temperature is 46 Celsius degrees. I can't say that the device is overheated. |

Just checking the low hanging fruit.
Does it supply enough amps? For a Pi they seem to recommend ~700mA - 1.8A depending on model. Does it supply 5v, +-5% tolerance? Do you have anything plugged into the USB ports?
sudo apt-get install stress-ng sudo stress-ng --cpu 4 --vm-bytes 10m --metrics -t 1d You can try running that for a couple of hours to see. It is also kind of a litmus test of your power supply. |

You can try running that for a couple of hours to see. It is also kind of a litmus test of your power supply. I'll do this later today. I also what to say that I run Einstein tasks for a year on this device without any error during all period. And even now when Pi runs Einstein tasks all is OK. But maybe after a year my power supply is not so good as before. I'll left the message when I'll have some results. Thanks you all! |

From the other thread, and credit to Raspberry Pi Brian for the code, my temp is non-overclocked: pi@raspberrypi:~ $ #!/bin/bash pi@raspberrypi:~ $ vcgencmd measure_clock arm && vcgencmd measure_temp frequency(45)=900094000 temp=71.3'C Have you got really good cooling or is your temperature not under load? |

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ vcgencmd measure_clock arm && vcgencmd measure_temp frequency(45)=1000106000 temp=45.5'C My device is placed on the table under the conditioner and has no case. Of course this temperature is under load. |
