Now, having said that, I also suspect that the Black Widow could knock me offa my high horse in an instant...As the story goes, it took Miserak 182 takes to accomplish the shot. It took Jeanette two shots at it.

I studied her for years.
This explains a lot of why I won so many games.

I understood her explanation of what the 'ghost ball' was and why it makes a difference./

The ghost ball is always on the table. If you can see it, you can hit it.

You have to be able to see that imaginary ball in your path that prevents you from your real shot.

Pool is all just smoke and mirrors when it comes down to it all.

Angles and mathematics. You master the angles, and the shots work themselves out./ Add a little bit of english on the cue ball, and things happen.
You just need to work out where you want to be when your shot ends up.
It is not the shot that counts, it is the leave.
You have to think several shots in advance.

I once tried to explain this to a friend of mine, and it was quite lost on him./
