When I took BOINC from my tower to this new laptop, I appeared to have lost all of my statistics. Though it says in My Account that I have all of my stats when I resumed the 2 projects I am on, there are no statistics and appeared to have lost all of the tasks that were running on the old computer. In the manager there are lot of tasks but none are what I suspended. Where can I find my stats in the manager and where are the tasks that I suspended? Sorry to be a pain but I would like to get all of them back. Thanks Fred Weber |

It looks like it did it itself. I guess I didn't wait long enough. I still am missing the task I suspended when I brought this to this laptop. |

Now it appears that I have to leave my external hard drive connected to the laptop. How can I get it from the external to the laptop? Sorry AGAIN for being a pain in the butt. I'm still new to this. Thanks. |

Fred basically you can't do what you are trying to do without problems . You should have just let the units complete on the original machine and on the new machine install a new Copy of Bionic . I'm not shore about this part but I think you can copy your stats file from the old computer to the new one this would be the file statistics_setiathome.berkeley.edu It should be in your Bionic data folder not in the projects folder but the root Bionic folder You could try this and see if it will resend you those units . All you need is ANY task to trigger a resend event, CPU tasks will work. |

How can I get it from the external to the laptop? Exit BOINC Copy the BOINC Data directory to the internal drive Uninstall BOINC Install BOINC again and tell it to use that BOINC Data directory: http://isaac.ssl.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_BOINC http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1&view=344 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |
