Why did you remove the comand line switches again ?
You should at least use -sbs 256 to increase work buffer.

The RAC takes at least 4 weeks to stabilize.

The information I'm giving is only as it applies to Hawaii GPU only. I just generated some fresh new invalids with 14.9. I can try 14.12, I'm not beyond trashing work units. I think the only driver I'm having luck with is 14.4.

Have Win 7 and R7 260X using 14.12. No problems here.

The problems are with running more than one MB task at a time on particular AMD cards. It appears to have started after Cat 14.4. You don't have that particular problem with running just One task at a time.

Hello Gerry I do not own a ATI GPU but I do have the 8350 FX chip
I have the 680 gtx card and a 650 gtx card running in it for a Rac of 31,000

Just because you have a 290 does not mean it's the best versions of the R9 card

Good luck with over clocking the chip and heat , Liquid cooling possibly needed unless your in a cool area to live during summer

So far I have not had problems with heating on the GPU's just the CPU 5.1 wow what temp is the max ?. I would be careful your not leaving much room for the unexpected like your Liquid cooler pump "F" ing up mine lasted 5 months from new so keep that in mind

I'd like to thank Zalster for the Door explanation of accessing resources. Thank You Zalster!

The aspect of social computation (aka teams) and its effect of affects could need a serious study. On my behalf I can say belonging to a group gives you (one) something. That might go under the umbrella of social adaptation, learning difficulties, special need teaching, mathematics anxiety, ...

5.1ghz now ,h100i cooler ..temps stay at 65c socket and 52c on core with prime95 after a few hours and no thermal throttle..had it to 5.2 but temps got to max and obviously not good to keep it there long..the max for socket is 72 and core is 62 with this board ..

Thanks Gerry I was woundering about the temps as I have had a few problems when the chip was pushing 62 + and have been thinking you are pushing things with those speeds .

All will be ok until your Cooling stuffs up then you are only going to get a few second maybe a minute to switch it off .

Can you post a few times of the work units for CPU , I'm just wondering if it's worth the risk .Be ok if your times have gone down a lot but not worth it if there pretty much the same but only post the Seti times in not doing prime 95 project.

At 4 gig it take approx. 1hr 50 min to 2hrs 40 mins per unit doing MB
At 4 gig it takes approx. 10hr 10min to 12hr 50 mins per unit doing AP

as a comparison for you

had it to 5.3 today stable but temps got to hot...definatly not keeping it at 5.1 where it is now...im gonna take it down to 4.8 or so tomorrow when i have time ..kinda overkill to keep it at 5.1 for no real reason...

Gerry you don't need to look at your stats just check out the times when you look at the client and make a mental note you'll get a idea how long the units take at there quickest and longest over a few days

Good to hear your only using 1-2 cores at those speeds . I thought you might be only running 1-2 cores or you would have seen a big difference if you tried to use more than that with the temps.

Also remember that when you go over the factory set speed of 4 gig you start pulling heaps more power something like 25% more power for every 0.1 gig above the factory set speed .

So long as you have a good PSU with a single 12 volt rail that can give 90% of the rated output (I would suggest at least 750 watt for your setup) you will have problems .

I have lost 2 PSU's because of overheating above 62 you will get errors and push your PSU to the point off breaking if it's not a very good PSU

1 lasted 3 weeks and a new 1 only lasted 4 hours and I was overclocking it to 4.1 gig.

The FX chips lose control of the power regulators above 62 so be warned.
