What's the typical backlog for verification of work units for most people? I've got a few that go all the way back to 05 july, and the stack seems to be growing larger over time. |

What's the typical backlog for verification of work units for most people? Depends on the WU & who else it's been sent to. The present bunch of VLARs I have at the moment have a deadline of 2nd of October- pretty much 2 months (shorter running WUs have a 3 week deadline). If the other person doesn't return a valid result in that time it will be sent to another machine. If they don't return a valid result in 2 months it will be sent to another machine. If they don't return a valid result in 2 months it will be sent to another machine. This can happen up to 9 times, so that would be 18 months. Usually it only happens once or twice. 3 times is pretty unusual, but not unheard of. EDIT- in addition to that the Validators have been having issues over the last couple of weeks so the validation of results that have been returned have been delayed above & beyond the deadline delays. EDIT- also the last couple of extended outages (for the DB upgrade & then the copying) have exacerbated things also. Grant Darwin NT |
