Hi, 1. Why is it not on, all the time? 2. When is it turned on? 3. Could it not be turned on, once a week for a few hours? 4. Why is boinc deleting wu's, if the associated app is not found straight away, instead of giving a warning/error message first! 5. Why isn't boinc informing the server about the wu's it deleted? I appreciate any comments. |

Hi, 1. Because reasons! As I recall it was hamming the MySQL db to hard & making everything generally unhappy. It isn't on all the time because they would like the project to actually be up and running. Rather than constantly crashy. 2. It only gets switched on by accident or to test if the db server wants to not die. 3. Sure. If you want the project to crash once a week. See #1. 4. & 5.
