There can be no banning of Muslims or any other religion from the US because of the Constitution Article 6 para 3.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events.

Apples/Oranges.

This does not apply to Foreign Policy (Including Immigration).

All a President, or Congress must do, is give any reason, to ban any group.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/10/opinion/trumps-anti-muslim-plan-is-awful-and-constitutional.html

But Trump did not only say he wanted to stop all Muslim immigrants he also said he wanted to remove all Muslims from the US, and that is, as far as I can find out is unlawful.

And as I said before, he is one person along with his family, by his own logic would have been removed from the US in the 30's or 40's, as he is of German/Scottish descendancy, he cannot have it both ways.

edit]There was nothing before the San Bernardino incident to stop Syed Rizwan Farook running for office as he is an American Muslim, born in Chicago.

The way Einstein was not removed from the US during that time?

He would do good running for Merkel's seat

A police spokeswoman said masked persons in leftist ranks had attacked police "massively" during the rally by "a thousand violently-inclined leftist autonomists."

I've lived in 6 states and been through and to others.
I've never met a country,
let alone a great one.
I've met people that were great or at least have had moments of greatness.
Do you want a great country or great PEOPLE?

Everyone on these forums, according to CLYDE and his ilk (yes, that includes Guy), are on the left. Meanwhile real lefties like Es99 and Angela Korpela are shaking their heads in bewilderment.

Could it be that the Daily News is the voice of "The Left"?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

The text is based on the poem "First the came" by Martin Niemöller.
He is best known for his statement, "First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a Socialist ...... and there was no one left to speak for me."

No wonder that the Donald denies his german background.

Any comments regarding this Subject?

The world never learns.

The Berlin Wall proved that walls are a dumb idea and people (future generations) don't want them.

WWII proved that punishing the innocent for the acts of the extreme is a really, really dumb idea.

Nobody learned. People are scared and are looking to someone willing to sell them on safety and protection, in much the same way Mussolini rose to power.

We are doomed to repeat history and get set back by ~100 years if Trump gets into the White House.

On some things, he is.

Wouldn't that mean he's more of a centrist than you seem to think or give him credit for? Perhaps his views are rather nuanced depending on the topic. Dare I say much like quite a few of us that you've placed on the left based upon an incorrect (and incomplete) notion of our views?

Donald Trump has lost the battle against the power company Swedish Vattenfall AB. For years, he tried to stop their wind farm in Scotland, because they would interfere with the view from his golf course. But Britain's highest court rejects his appeal:)

Trump's companies have appealed against the state by all Scottish courts, but lost. Therefore they went to Britain's highest court, hoping to unravel decision.
Today came the judgment:
- A unanimous court rejects the appeal, said Patrick Hodge, Judge of the Supreme Court. The Court states that the Scottish authorities acted in unity with the rules and within its mandate when given Vatenfall state.

Perhaps Trump's neighbours should also bring Trump to court for interfering with their view that is now blocked...
