I won't have itinerant ET's landing on our planet without so much as a by your leave, or would you mind.

You won't?

How much for a front row seat to that?

There are certain standards of social behaviour that need to be upheld, and the younger generation need to learn :-))

Need to learn?

What? To welcome a stranger by insisting they owe me a drink? :-)

I'll look elsewhere for examples of standards to follow if I may?

edit: at previous few posts. I see you gentleman have that topic covered. I will leave you to it then :-)
We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Apart from pain. And maybe humiliation. And obviously death. And failure. But apart from fear, pain and humiliation, failure and the unknown and death - we have nothing to fear. Who’s with me?

More than you can afford.

You wouldn't appreciate satire and irony at your age.

Please do, be my guest, the further away the better.

So you won't settle for market value then?

My appreciation of it has nothing to do with this. Nor does my age. You wouldn't be saying any of it at me. You'd be saying it at your Alien. They might have understood your satirical irony for what it was - but let's imagine for a moment that they didn't and this is how your conversation had progressed, and ended... :-)

...making the next WOW signal - unprintable :-)

edit: trying to stay on topic here. You?

2nd edit (before heading out to work yet again): Suppose what I'm trying to say is: "What took you so long, being fashionably late went out years ago! BTW it's been your round for ages, and you're parked on a bus lane" is a message for a back burner... a way way back, burner :-)

We should fully develop Lincos or Cosmicos and write a message in it. Then discuss whether or not to send it. When the UN agrees, we phone ET.
