Found this in my suggested list after a Simon's Cat video...

Heroic Dog Saves Wedding By Tackling Female Suicide Bomber

A dog died after tackling a female suicide bomber in Nigeria, preventing the would-be attacker from detonating herself in a wedding party.

The dog’s brave actions prevented the suicide bomber from causing any other casualties to the party. The failed attack occurred in Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s Borno state, where the ISIS-affiliated Boko Haram terrorist group is known to engage in suicide attacks.

“A female suicide bomber with [an improvised explosive device] strapped to her body attempted to infiltrate a wedding ceremony gathering in Belbelo community of Jere,” said a spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State, as quoted by Nigeria’s Premium Times. “She was however prevented by a watch dog, so she had to detonate the IED to kill herself and the dog. The dog was owned by a resident in the locality.”

This tribute is for Iggy.
Iggy had been adopted to Sweden by his owner from Dog's Aid in Dublin in 2012 and had been living happily in Sweden ever since.
Last Friday he was killed in the terrorist crime on Drottninggatan in Stockholm.
"People have left so nice flowers, dog treats and more to honor the memory after Iggy - a dog, man's absolute best friend and a beloved family member," the Dogs Without Homes writes.

Ex-husband sends former dog birthday greetings
Follow link to read rest of this heartwarming story

A Texas woman says the beloved dog she once shared with her ex-husband has helped bring the couple back together.

Rebecca Hernandez, 25, told FOX 5 she started dating her ex, Frankie, in 2007. They were high school sweethearts, and got married at a young age in 2012. One year later, when Rebecca says she was having "baby fever," the couple got Apollo, a German shorthaired pointer mix, who was malnourished at the time.

Rebecca said there was never a dull moment while having Apollo and Frankie around.

"Apollo is a cheese-ball like Frankie, and I think that's why they love each other so much."

Humans have just as good a sense of smell as an animal has.
The human nose is even better than the dog's sensitive nose to feel some smells,
Poor human olfaction is a 19th-century myth.

This is hilarious.
Just watching two girls walking one dog.
Both girls are watching their "smartphones" instead of watching what the dog is doing.

It's now summertime and our dog wants to go out with me both day and night.
Anybody here knows how to say no to a dog?

Toss a bacon strip somewhere JUST out the dog's reach. The dog will then spend the next six hours trying to get it back, then manage, eat it and fall asleep.....

Tried that. Doesn't work:)
Too many hares and birds outside that she can smell from our balcony.
The other day she found a dead magpie chicken in a bush.
Tosca got wild and had to check what it was.
Luckily she didn't brought the carcass back home like she did last year...

Any Muslims around here?
Here are the rules given by Allah and his messenger Mohammed!
http://www.islamguiden.com/hund.shtml#.WTWmsGjyiJY
It is not allowed to have a dog except for hunting or guarding livestock and crops, and it is allowed to have them to guard the house, as long as you live out of town and there are no other means to keep the house.
The Muslims should not try to imitate the kuffaar by running with the dog or touching its mouth and kissing it, which causes many diseases.
Praise be to Allaah for this pure and perfect shariah, who came to set people's spiritual and worldly affairs right, but most people do not realize it.

And we have a LOT of soil and water here in Europe to clean yourself after meeting a dog.

And Allah knows best and Shukran ya rab!

Allahu Ahkbar.

Oh dear. Our dog Tosca has been away this weekend.
When she was coming back today she was very hungry.
Well playing football gives you an appetite.
She even eat more than I do!
And she only weighs about 7 pounds:)

Dogs Were Carved Into This Portage Park Tree — And More Could Be On The Way
PORTAGE PARK — The dogs who trotted through the off-leash area of Portage Park since Friday got to meet a new companion, made entirely out of wood.

Northwest Side woodcarver J.R. Cadawas carved the face of his own pet rottweiler into a tree at the center of the dog park as part of the tree's four-day transformation into an intricate 10-foot art installation.
