Goodness, there does seem to be a pattern beginning to emerge.....

I got your arse covered.....kid.

[url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcYGCAubl-I]That's how we do it in Dixie.[/url'

Now, get on with whatever you really wanted to say.

Meow?

Are you just toying with the kitties, or you have a real beef in da bowl?

Best be quick about it, because I am about ready for bed with the soul mates.

Fess up, twisting or really questioning? I can deal with each, if properly presented.

Meow now, not much time kiddo.

Because I WAS a pinball wizard. Mostly not because of sheer skill, but because I would go into the tavern for a beer or two, and waltz out many hours later with eyes glazed not so much from the beer or whiskey, but from the hours I had spent taking top score on the Bally machine.

I friend of mine had a pinball machine in his basement.
Oh happy Days:)

speaking about who:)

This was an open joke between me and Joan for years.
Because she detested the song so much, she tossed it at me to make me cry.

I loved her so much, it really was not funny.

Oh, Celt, if you only knew.....
You would not jest at me so much if you only knew my heart's travels....
"If love means forever, with nothing to earn, then I hope I'll be given another full lifetime in which I can learn..."
Dylan wrote so much beautiful prose. Unwilling, unlearning, unforgiving, such words are to those..............

Torn twixt the two.....nothing I could do.

Joan J. came first, but she would not claim me.
Joan B. came second, but with fame, she disdained me.

Such is my life unrelenting and so untrue.
My pain and my torture I herewith give you.
And so love is a pain that I often refer to................

Now you know why I love F'n CATS.
At least when they snarl at you, ya have a clue why.

Again, if you only knew what I know, Dear Celt.
It might explain some of my late night wanderings......

Another song penned by mutual friend, Bob.

"There are rumors of salvation... if the words I've heard are true.
But it seems it's just damnation that is chasing after you.
So, seek glory when you can, friend, and save it if you must.
For you know that all past glory just passes into dust.

These word that I have penned, they are worthless if unsung
And may you stay....forever young.

Might you know that these verses were not penned by Bob, but by myself. They fit in rather well with the song he did.

My problem with Bob was that he could write music. I could only, and still can only, write prose.
The words I can do, the notes I have no clue
Tragic thingy.

If I had both the gifts, I would not be sucking wind for recognition on a star chasing site on the internet.

I do luvWanda's version.
The piano work is priceless.
Tnis is 40yo stuff, I know.
But, LOL, so am I.

Almost 60 .

I notice some things in the background because I used to arrange such things.
It was not just a simple...hey, honey, let's do that song of yours tonight.

There are some things I should tell you.
First of all, Sun Records was owned completely by Sam Phillips.
Capitol Record bout him out in the late 60s, I believe.
The times I am talking about were wary before Capitol locked the doors to anybody but their indiders.

Secpmd/////
I know many of my posts are not to be believed. I have a history of make believe. This is not one of those moments.

Third, -
After the session that night, Wanda asked me for a listen of the tapes.
I could not do that, and she was quite dismayed.
The reason for that was, I was shit silly scared that the cops or Sam were gonna wake up and find us ther that night, and the moment the tape rewound, I sent it off with a roady to the pressing plant just down the street.
I was truly scared, and that paranoia paid off. Not two minutes later, the cops were at the door.

You own this place? No, Sam Phillips does. He know you are here?
Uh, no, officer, he does not. See you got some tape machines rolling there.....
you wanna shut them off?
Yes, officer and erase the tapes.
OK, now, don't be pissin' off Sam anymore, we buy his records...
Dead dunk...Oh, meow.

We walked out of there with a million dollar single, had a burger down the street, and the next day, Wolfman Jack was hawking it.

Some things just cannot be repeated in this day and age.

/There were preparations to be made.
Side men had to be booked and they were not always easy to get on the spur of th emoment. At times, you had to do with lees than you hoped for becaues, for example, the drummer of choice was out on a run. The backup gurlz was drunk.
The best sax player in the world was asleep in his van out back. Things you cannot account for in real life.

I had the liberty of using the studio any which way I wished that night, or this cut would NOT have happened.
Sam, Phillips gave me unlimited access, because he knew I held the equipment he had there as God given, and it was, indeed.

SUN records was open book studio at the time, there was none other like it.
Sam gave me liberties that no other producer in the land had access to.
And in the end, he was rewarded with recordings no other producer had access to either.

This cut was an astounding take, given the circumstances and what I had to work with. Most of the bandplayers were woken up at 2 in the morning, and most of them are toasted.
