Neither does Jett.

All that has past since, is really a wonderful bit of life for both of us.
But she had the guts and the sheer determination to be what she wanted to be.
We are both going on sixty now...believe it or not.
Life has a funny way of going off on ya when you are not paying attention...

I know Lori still does not like it when I perk up whenever a Jett clip comes up on the radio when we are tooling about in her car.
She just says...pack it, honey...I know. Get over her, willya???

She also knows I am hers forever, and if given the choice, it would be a life altering event for both of us.

Not hardly. Lori would drag me away with a choke chain....LOL.
And I would go with her.
But we both know there is still a special place in my heart for one I once knew.
JJ was not a rocker yet when I met her.
Just a very special little gurl at the time. I saw something in her eyes that would go on and on and on and on.

Do I still wanna? Oh yeah............................damnbetcha. Mighty fine looking lady approaching 60. I do wish we had gotten together and had some little Jett kitties. Meowsigh.

Lori is forever.
Jett is a dream. A one time only touch...that affected me for my whole life.
If you are suggesting that I never knew or touched JJ, you are wrong.
We kissed. And such a sweet kiss.

She still has this thing about draping her arms around one she loves or cares for. Hard to explain, but she just gives her all to that moment.
She always has been ruled by her emotions.


I know the difference between the two.
Lori I can touch. Jett, I can only dream and wish to.

What came of JJ's first band, the Runaways, is pretty interesting too.

Lita Ford went on to some rather heavy rocking.

Cheri Curie.. as far as I know, is still alive and kicking her habits.

Sandy West passed from lung cancer in about 2005.

So many other gurl starz passed through this ring.

JJ is the one lone member of that first attempt to break through the woman warrior of rock bit.
She did, and remains an icon to this day.

The simple fact that I once kissed her is no longer an issue anymore.

We kissed, we parted ways, and we never met again.
I am sure it did not affect her life that way it did mine. Sad to say, that is the truth.

And no...to tell ya the truth, I never have forgotten or gotten over that tennage kiss.

My awakening came about 1975.
Lights came on and off without my intervention.
A gurl I was seeing stared at me without relenting.
She said I was the 'chosen one'.
She wholly changed my life.

This took a couple of years to hit home. And she was right.
I AM the chosen one. For whatever reasons, I have been chosen to take the hit and be something that I do not wish to be.

There are other reasons I love the song so much.
Like, maybe the fact that it was Wolfman Jack's fav too.


There are certain things surrounding the song that I could tell ya, but not today.
Save them for one rainy day in kitty town.
Like the fact that Brenda wanted to do this in double time.
Not the laid back version she was forced to do by the studio execs.
She wanted to rock it more.
The result was delightful indeed, but one has to wonder what Brenda really wanted to do.

When she tears loose, breaking voice and tearing it up, you might have a clue that this ballad was NOT what she was about that day. She had other thingys on her mind.
And she was aiming that broken track EXACTLY at the music moguls that day.
She was gonna have her way, and damned if she didn't.
She was not about to give in, and they were not either. They wanted a top hit and Brenda was the bracket to give it to them. Mind you, this gurl was making about 10K a year....top salary for a gifted voice back then.
She was really pissed off when she recorded this song. And it shows.

They gave her ONE take, and that was it.
The song was released just one day later.
Brenda was shocked silly. "uh, the song was not ready..."
Yet, it tore up the charts.

Mark!!! Brenda Lee recorded that song in 1960. You are 58 and therefore were born in 1967, 7 years later!

Brenda was born the same year as me in 1944, she still performs today.

I was born on January 18th of the year 1957, my friend. You are off by 10 years.

In the blink of an eye. And I am quite at home in most any genre.
Because I have spent the better part of my life perusing and experiencing such things. I want to know all that there is to know.
And I am getting closer to that goal.

I think I have watched about every bit of footage now that Rod Serling ever produced. And that is a profound lot indeed. That in itself would be an achievement. Rod vastly underestimated himself.

By most accounts, he was considered an angry old man by some, but loved by many.
He shared a lot of things in his life, mostly about his true love, cats.
His love for them did not diminish with his age.

He remains one of the top users ever to have worked on the Seti project, and can be noted for the most credits ever attained here.

I can attest to his reverence for the project.
