Message 1617487 - Posted: 22 Dec 2014, 19:01:30 UTC - in response to Message 1617479.

OK, this is crap:

12/22/2014 1:49:07 PM | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
12/22/2014 1:49:07 PM | SETI@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks sent
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for SETI@home Enhanced
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v7
12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress

On this machine, with 2 GTX 780s (merrily doing Einstein with share 0 at the moment), my limit is 200, but I have ZERO SETI WUs for the GPU, and I get the above. Being out of work is one thing. But this message? WTF????.

Run a smaller cache, so you don't try to cache 200 CPU tasks at once.

Now SSP shows that marvin is up again. And lando is doing it's job splitting MB units.

Now we have to wait to AP splitters to run again.

Those 4 splitters that are doing unspeakable things to each other on the same AP file (03se14ad, really hampers the production of AP work.

I wish they would get themselves a hotel room instead :-)

Edit: Oops, Marvin is disabled again....
AP splitters RED.
We're in code RED again.

Have we been able to determine if the AP creation rate that shows on the SSP is actually the real value, or is that still a left-over for v6? I know some of the values got updated to v7 after the DB rebuild, but I don't recall if ALL of the values eventually got switched-over.

I believe we've got the complete set showing v7 now.

I am extremely positive thank you very much. When I am negative, you will notice the difference :-)
Being positive: I just got my first AP, after marvin's crash:

Sten gets very mellow when there's someone else to be annoyed for him.

Meanwhile, I have a WU at Beta that's having a merry time of it. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/workunit.php?wuid=6779328 My tablet is the inconclusive. There are four various errors, and two invalids that have the same signal counts as my tablet.

I suppose I should post about it at Beta, but I feel like I'm more likely to get a response here.

...Still, it could be worse, we could be living in North Korea.

Or you could be living in a country where you download a document from your Government, open it in Photoshop, and notice someone forget to flatten the document. Then you have to contemplate why someone would need to change such a document and the consequences of it being altered.

Have you noticed the AP file with 3 splitters, and the file below it, hasn't made any progress since they started...

Reached the limit on tasks in progress is also the response you get when when requesting GPU work, but only VLARs are available.

MB starting to flow in here now. AP not at all. Still, it could be worse, we could be living in North Korea.

MB has increased in output, but it is still way down on what it should be. It should be 35+/s until the ready-to-send buffer is full. Apart from a couple of spikes over 30/s, it's struggling to reach 25/s.

That's one of the WUs with the unusual Autocorr parameters, and my host 10490 produced one of the results marked invalid. That was because the SaH v7 validation code immediately invalidates results which run to 100% completion without having a "best autocorr" in the result file.

One more hour should place Eric and Matt in the Colo. I'll be crossing my fingers that they find the right spot to tickle the servers to get them running properly again.
