Ireland beat the West Indies by 4 wickets with just over 4 overs to spare.

Cheers.

The Scots only managed 142 runs by the 37th over and the Kiwis are in already to chase it down, I doubt that the Kiwis will even work a sweat up over that target.

Cheers.

Well the Kiwis just went for it even if they lost a few wickets in the process.

NZ won in their 25th over by 3 wickets.

Tomorrow Afghanistan plays Bangladesh down in Canberra on this side of the lake, it will be interesting.

Cheers.

Bangladesh were to good for Afghanistan winning by 105 runs.

3 interesting reports...

Ireland makes rivals "very nervous" :-)

Thanks Graeme.

Test status now for Ireland

Thanks Michael, totally agree. Ireland v England in a test series here would be fantastic.

Sport helping to unite a country?

It would be nice if it could.

In the English speaking world, only those from one continent, would say that and that is not unanimous in that continent.

You forgot to mention that their game that they call football isn't a game played with the foot. And when it is kicked has to be done by specialists who only come on when the ball is required to be kicked. Name would probably fail the trades description act in the UK.

That's not cricket guys. The Yanks just don't understand the fun the Ossies & Poms have in winding each other up.

Let's not take that winding up too far, okay?

Got to give you that one, unfortunately :-(

We'll be there (you never know, I might get the best of both worlds - Ireland & England in the semi's) :-)

BTW, thanks again Graeme...

"Zimbabwe are not one of the strongest. If they played Ireland tomorrow I'd back Ireland to win. I don't think they are good enough to get out of the group stage."

England 2 games 2 losses oh my you need some new selectors . there's plenty of time to rebuild your team before the next world cup

And there's Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff , on the T.V show I'm a celeb get me out here , maybe you need to go to the place there got that show and drag him back to play the rest of the games and maybe you might have a chance of winning at least 1 game .

I've been otherwise occupied the last few days days so I'll throw an update in here.

Zimbabwe beat the UAE by 4 wickets (but it was a close match).

The Kiwis absolutely destroyed the Poms by 8 wickets in their 13 over.

The West Indians creamed Pakistan by 150 runs.

Sadly cyclone Marcia washed out the Aussies' match against Bangladesh. :-(

Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by 4 wickets (but it was a close match).

India gave Sth. Africa a cricket lesson winning by 130 runs.

Then the Poms actually won a match, against the Scots by 119 runs.

And yesterday the West Indies beat Zimbabwe by 73 runs (after a rain delay) though Chris Gayle was very lucky not to have been out for a duck only to score the 4th only double century (if he was given, the end result may have been a lot different).

Today Ireland will take on the UAE in Brisbane, match starts in 4hrs.

Cheers.
