What's this Great Race you speak of, Wiggo?

The Bathurst 1000 Gordon. ;-)

Cheers.

My mother's first car was a Ford Falcon, but I don't think it was anything like the Falcons in that race. ;~}

I had one of those Ford Falcons and it was junk Gordon and a gutless wonder never to buy another. I must say it was used when I got it about 2 year old but still it was junk n my book. 30,000 it went for scrap.
Cheers everybody

All I know is, she got hers brand new, and parallel parked it in front of her father's house, and he decided she didn't park it right, so he parked it right... into a tree!

Our Falcons were pretty much the same as your Falcons Gordon from 1960 to 1970 (though with heavier suspension and steering parts from 1962 onwards), then yours went to some weird looking thing (based on the U.S. Fairlane?) in later 1970 before being dropped all together after a short run, whereas here we went to a totally Aussie designed car from 1972, but local Falcon production will sadly come to an end here in 2016 and then the much smaller FWD European Mondeo will likely be pushed at us again.

Cheers.

Greetings from Finnish lager o7

Well come to the boards STriderFin77.

WOOHOO 15 years and counting.

Welcome from me too STriderFin77 :)

Hello @everyone! :) Been bit out of the loop - appear to have embellished a minor cold with raging earache... but catching up on the threads is a good distraction :)

@Grant - ducky umbrella :) cute! :))) So sorry to hear everything's so parched though and that you still have no need of one :( My sister has just got back from India where apparently they've been having way too much rain for this time of year - the stuff is obviously around - just not falling where it's most needed :/

@Gordon - My other half has never returned with any umbrella he's ever taken anywhere... including a toddler-sized UFO one with humming flashing lights and a similarly-sized green frog one that made loud croaking "ribbit" noises all the time it was open. I THINK my daughter will forgive him... one day :)

@Chris - the crossed fingers worked - the keys WERE hers :)

I am sure my mom has a picture of hers. I'll have to find it, and post it.

Annie, now that's good news they had her keys. I lost a set and my GF said what if they come open your door? I said after 770,000 doors they will give up. :)) I was 2 miles away.
Cheers everybody

My mom takes those water pills, and a Potassium supplement. The Potassium supposedly helps memory. I need some of those pills. :~}
