Is it for handling the latest pipe to add to a drill stem? I have never worked on an oil rig. I have, however, watched a couple of documentaries... [edit] back in a bit with a picture. BOINC WIKI |

ehh? It is a engine cylinder hone? |

Yes, it is a cylinder hone. Since it only has 2 blades, it might be a brake cylinder hone. BOINC WIKI |

I think I can see 3 blades, one of them coming directly towards the camera. Happy Crunching, Graham |

I think I can see 3 blades, one of them coming directly towards the camera. Agree. I plan to use one tomorrow. I am rebuilding the engine in my jeep. |

Ok. Looked up more pictures. Looked at a lot of hones. I even found one attached to a drill honing a brake cylinder. I do agree with several others that the tool in question is a cylinder hone. Be it a small one as you suggest. |

I think I can see 3 blades, one of them coming directly towards the camera. That is th project I used one for the first time. The second time was a Honda Civic, and the third time (I used a brake cylinder hone on the engine) was a 550 cc motor cycle engine. BOINC WIKI |

Is it used by a gynaecologist? Nope. It is not used for that kind of body opening. |
