Vova? Tsar in Russia = Kaiser in Germany = Caesar in old Rome... a 'title' signifying autocratic ruler originally derived from a certain person's name, one "Gaius Julius Caesar" (100 - 44 BCE). I have a copy of his 'war diary'. Good reading. Vladmir = I am unsure of it's etymology, but it appears to be of Russian origin meaning 'has peace'. I am curious of the possible relation of the name Vladmir with the name Vlad used by several rulers of Wallachia from the house of Basarab, and a branch of that house the Draculesti, including that rather infamous Vlad III, aka Vlad the Impaler, aka Vlad Dracula (off and on ruler of Wallachia from 1436 to 1476/77 CE). |

[quote][quote]Vova - Diminutive of Vladimir? Vladimir has many nicks. Most slavic languages have the same name. Владимир, Vladimir ВладÑ, Vlad Вова, Vova Лада, Lada Vlad means "regal" and Max Vasmer also mention "Mir" in the name which means peace or people. Putin and Peace... |

That means breaking diplomatic relations with Israel, otherwise we are in the mess. Now that we have diplomatic relations along with the internet those that hate Israel are able to recruit inside any place that also does not hate Israel. Neither side is permitting neutrality. Remember shrub's line, you are either with us or against us. If you want out, it isn't just getting the boots out anymore. Then again maybe you like strip searches and NSA phone and internet spying? |

I was thinking along similar lines. Especially given the history of Vlad III in the Ottoman Empire. (Royal hostage as a child, his allies in his retaking the throne in Wallachia, and ultimately they turned on him and executed him, displaying his head on a stake in Istanbul) His ancestors had dealings with them too... |

The crusades are a bit outdated and off topic . If ISIS is not stopped and get there hands on nukes or nuke materials from Iran or somewhere else then we are all in trouble . I'm just waiting for Ebola now to be smuggled into the war zone . A very old war tactic , leave dead bodies around infectected |

The crusades are a bit outdated and off topic . If you are not aware, the crusades are now and the Zionists and Christians world wide are attacking Islam and must be dispatched by Jihad. At least that is part of the radicalizing that is being taught today by ISIL and others. You and I know the crusades ended a long long time ago, but they are today to ISIL! |

At least that is part of the radicalizing that is being taught today by ISIL and others. It simplifies their propaganda to point out that we sent a couple hundred thousand troops to Iraq and spend $3T trying to overthrow their government. That might have something to do with it. |

Could you show some examples of that propaganda? Gary is the source for that. Or maybe you think they did their radicalizing by Vulcan mind taps? But usually the right-wingers jump at the chance to complain about their methods; I am surprised you would even ask. |

Note none of them are Faux .... the last link might get you on a watch list and it is big. http://english.irib.ir/news/world/west-asia/item/197923-yemen%E2%80%99s-al-qaeda-express-support-for-isil-against-crusade http://www.islamicinvitationturkey.com/2014/10/17/yemens-al-qaeda-express-support-for-isil-against-crusade/ http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/islamic-state-calls-for-spontaneous-attacks-against-australians-and-citizens-of-other-crusader-nations-20141013-1157ty.html http://alhaj.me/2014/09/16/mahathir-overture-on-europe-us-crusade-against-isil/ http://www.todayszaman.com/anasayfa_isil-calls-for-attacks-on-us-and-french-citizens-taunts-obama_359480.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/09/16/nevermind-what-obama-says-the-islamic-state-claims-its-facing-a-crusade/ http://www.christiantoday.com/article/isis.threatens.vatican.urges.muslims.to.kill.every.crusader/41646.htm <ed>There is a considerable amount of graphic disturbing images in this link http://media.clarionproject.org/files/islamic-state/islamic-state-isis-magazine-Issue-4-the-failed-crusade.pdf |

There was a recent story about how the Israelis were not so worried about ISIS, since they had no weapons with a range that could attack them. I have always said that when the left-wingers and the right-wingers agree on something, the real troubles begin. |

If you are not aware, the crusades are now and the Zionists and Christians world wide are attacking Islam and must be dispatched by Jihad. At least that is part of the radicalizing that is being taught today by ISIL and others. Disturbing images to say the least. The publication of the first issue of the Islamic State’s official magazine, Dabiq, went into further detail about the Islamic State’s strategic direction, recruitment methods, political-military strategy, tribal alliances and why Saudi Arabia’s concerns that the Kingdom may be the Islamic State’s next target are well-founded. Dabiq is published in several European languages, including English. No internet publication though. http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/islamic-state-selling-message-glossy-english-magazine# http://www.jamestown.org/programs/tm/single/?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=42702&cHash=0efbd71af77fb92c064b9403dc8ea838#.VEuRvmNxmJY |

You have not addressed the issue of why it is for the U.S. to fix that, but you have carefully avoided the issue of how the U.S. brought about ISIS (they are mainly Saddam's guys who were thrown out of work by W.). |

I dont want US or any western country for that matter to "fix" anything in the Middle East. |

I would prefer that too, though while we are still dependent on their oil (not so much in the U.S. anymore) we can't run away. But we can walk away. |

If it was not for the oil it would probably be pretty quiet in the region. Saudi Arabia’s concerns that the Kingdom may be the Islamic State’s next target are well-founded. Aren't US and Saudi Arabia allies? |
