Life of a King.
A game I never learned, literally. It's too much for me and my mind to contain all at once. And I was never a plotter or schemer.
I live day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute.
Sometimes the time slices between choices I have to make come down to microseconds of thought. And I then have to live with that single microsecond of thought process that shall impact the rest of my life.

These are the constrains I live in.
Here and now, this instant.
It is all I have, all I know, all I possess now.

I used to have memories, most of them have left me now.
And yet, I still know who I am, what I was in the distant fading past, and what I have yet to be.

I still am cognizant of who I am. And when that leaves me, you shall all know it.

I am not sure I really understand life at all.
Mine has been a chase from one fit of understanding to the next total loss of same.

I have little grasp of time.

I can remember looking down at my brother on the morgue slab.
I wiped his blood off of the floor carefully.
Other than a few time stamps here and there, I cannot tell you how many years ago that was. I can calculate it, based on past things, but the date and time...........
They are forever lost to me. And just as well.

I can deal with life on a day to day, need to know basis.
That is how I survive.

There is nothing like my friends here that get me going.
You can kick me into high gear or toss me over the cliff just as easily.

It is a scary thing, having that much faith in others.
Very scary.

You can take me as high as possible, and then toss me to the winds.
The only other person I ever gave that to was Joan.
And that was a very long time ago.

I never in my life placed that much trust in another's hands.

But, I wanted her to posess that. Me. I wanted her to posess ME.
And so, I gave her the only key.

You have misunderstood me at times.
You have thought me a fool for saying that I loved JJ.
I love Lori with all me heart these days, and that is saying a lot.

But, there is nothing like a first love, as they say, and one cannot ever go back on torn up tracks. That is my pain, and I have to deal with that for as long as I live. I was torn from day one.
Torn.

I was wrecked from day one, kids.
And none of your posturing or chiding can ever change that.

You're a little late, as they say, 'cuz I was torn up and wrecked and a twisted thingy long before you met me.


So, if you can, please just try to deal with me as I now exist. Because that is all I have to offer.

Hite was a monster of a man, and passed way too early in his life.

And Christ, I don't believe I stumbled upon this clip.

The video is so pristine, I just don't believe it.

Canned Heat...........amazing.

His backup guys are soo freaking dead in the water. No emotion whatsoever.
Damn. And Hite was a bit laid back himself. The song was so perfect that I suppose it did not need much help.
