Your definition is not to far off. But I must confess and say that I added one too many "S" in my jumble. You do have most of the word right. So I must go and confess my "sin" in the end. May the Father go easy on this poor soul.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so when I thought I had an extra one, I in fact had an extra twoooooooooooooooooo :)

*Peer critically at Abscisniss*

okay... I'm going to throw away............ this s. It was at the end if you're wondering.

And I'm going to treat "sin in the end" literally ... s-o-o-o-o-o-o

Abscissin? Maybe? Should I pop it in a search engine? Yes! Why not! Back in a bit... :)

edit: oh well there you go... a plant hormone that controls the falling off of bits :) apparently... can also be spelled abscisin I think....

Abscissin: n. - hormone which triggers the fall of autumn leaves in certain trees.
Kind of like leprosy. Makes them fall off. Pm on the way.

Yes well... short of going in there bellowing "UNCLEAN UNCLEAN" at everyone, I'm at rather a loss as to what to do :)

Of course...

I could punish setizens worldwide by posting yet another mysterious tool to torment them with... :)

But in the meantime - whilst I decide: YOUR NEW WORD IS READY!!

Good luck :)

I'll start off with something simple and obvious.

Casual curl - describes the bend of the elbow in an arm leaning on a bar and holding a beer.

You mean that sprawl when the bar is the only thing holding you up? No :) but a nice attempt!

You will be pleased to know however, that two of your letters are in the correct position. One of them matches one of the two letters in the jumble, that are also already in the correct position :)

I'll think about that tomorrow, when I'm awake.

Yes... I've heard the calcium thingy-ate deposits on them are caused by rampant snails exuding shell compounds all over the place. A precursor to moving out of their motorhomes I expect. It isn't the word I am looking for though, but there is good news... you have four letters in their correct position.

One is the same as one of David's correct ones. Yes, it is :) It's the one that formed exactly half of the correct placed letters in the original jumble, which I may not yet have mentioned, are adjacent to one another.

In addition, half of your correct letters are together, and half of your correct letters are A's... one of which is half of the Admiral's correct vision! :)

Did that help? I hope so :)

I think a hit part of the jackpot. 👻 Was looking for something to watch on anime and struck pay dirt. One of the characters on Gundam fits part of the jumble.
Lacus Clyne

I hope that I am right and have a big part of the jumble figured.

Logic chart based on clues so far:

1 - not C
2 - A
3
4
5
6 - not L
7
8
9 - A
10

Flying in the face of my own logic, my next guess is RAUCUS CALL.

Actually, thinking further about the clues, if the original jumble has its two adjacent, that pretty much means the third has to be C, since it's obviously not aardvark.

L A C U S C _ _ A R is what I get so far. Now looking at the ancient books and antiquities I have scattered about. And a few common lists of obscure words. My guess would be.

Lacuscular: adj. - pertaining to pools.

One more bit of logic I overlooked. Either 8 is S or 10 is R. The latter fits Admiral's latest guess.

May I suggest starting a new thread soon?
