Early Clue #1: Starts with a B and ends with a vowel.

I know internet word descramblers are forbidden, but online dictionaries are okay, right? Just to see if a word I come up with is legitimate.

I plugged bibliobibliu and bibliobubili into dictionary.reference.com and it asked me if I meant bubble hubble.

Then I tried bulliobibibi and it asked if I meant Beelzebub.

I'll keep scratching at it.

And then could you possibly... bury it? :)

Okay... think I've got it :)

blubiiblobii - onomatapoeia - the sound Zappy's phone made when he dropped it in his beer

bibibibillou - name for the alternative format adopted by the Icelandic "we want more consonants and we want them now" yodelling society...?

You Got me sweating. Almost hit the Bullseye back there.

[edit] It is not those last two words.

Parsing that comment strictly would indicate that it's the third one back that's so close. bulliobibibi Not much latitude in changing it around. billiobibubi billibibubio bullibibibio bullibibiobi Still stumped.

[edit - posted before I finished thinking]
I'm inclined to think the biblio- part was what got Admiral so nervous.

I wish I were more than 17% awake.

More than just that. Almost like busted. You know dad is in your bedroom talking to you and your GF is in the closet. That kind of close call.

Wow - I haven't heard that word in a long time. :~) My dad used to like to throw out esoteric words.

Okay, my previous biblio- guesses were bibliobibliu and bibliobubili.

bibliobiblui
bibliobibilu
bibliobibuli
bibliobubili
bibliobuibli
bibliobuibil
bibliobuilbi
bibliobuilib
bibliobiubil
bibliobiulib
bibliobiubli
bibliobiulbi

bibliolubibi
bibliolibubi
bibliolibibu
biblioluibbi
biblioluibib
biblioliubbi
biblioliubib

After that, it gets even weirder phonetically.

While that word may well describe me at times, I am unable to confirm its existence. However, I will take your word for it (so to speak).

Because I'm posting from home and don't want to get into my work email (which is the account that is subscribed to dictionary.com's Word of the Day), I will just grab a random word off the top of my head.

I feel like Craig in Being John Malkovich when he's trying to sound out Maxine's name, but I think I got it.
