I downloaded the New nVIDIA Driver and it droped my temps but it also downclocked my GTX 460 from 720 to 405 mhz.
Any suggestions?
EDIT, I'll check back in the AM my time.

You don't specific what company produced your Nvidia. I use Precision X from EVGA. It allow you to control the fan speed of your GPU and regulate the speed of the GPU as well. Might be something to look at.

I also use Precision X from EVGA and the card is an EVGA GeForce GTX 460 W/1024 mb Ram.
It has never downclocked until I put in the new drivers.

If you think it's slowed things down just roll it back to the last 1 you had

I'm using the 337 driver and although I did notice it is at 320mhz when not being used it goes straight up to 2499mhz when it is doing a unit (memory clock that is ) can't see GPU Clock speed on my gadget thou . I wouldn't worry unless it's doing units slower

It's doing work slower and black screened today. I'm not sure what's going on.
I got my clock speed back up after 3 reboots.
I'll check later and post back in the AM @ 7:30 Eastern Time.

Jim_s that looks like your problem it did not install properly. I would reinstall it but do a clean install don't update clean install should fix it

Nvida updates from Microsoft often cause a problem if you don't do a Clean install and just update it

It seems to be fine now.
I did do a Clean install and it has been running good so far with only 2 very short screen freezes and I'm now running two wu's on the card now without overheating (Couldn't do that before..waiting for an AP to see what happens).
Now Fingers are crossed until tomorrow AM.
