When a Youtube clip could be viewed without a dang minute or so of commercial BS in front of it?
This has grated on me lately, because I used to be able to select between a few different versions of some particular song that I wished to post a link to here, and find one that did not do that.
Alas, time has caught up with me, and now almost every single one has a commercial tagged. I am sorry for that, my friends.

It't not your fault Sir, this has been slowly catching up to us and is now in full effect. I enjoy all of the videos posted regardless of the ad that plays first.

Yes, but I guess they need revenue somehow. The skip button after a few seconds is handy.

A food forum I visit recently redesigned itself and has ads, which is annoying, but as they say, it pays the bills.

Thank you...
I only wish to share. Which is what the tube was originally about.
It still make me angry at times when somebody else has to endure a freaking commercial to enjoy what I originally wished to share with them.
But, as with most other things, the best things come to those who wait, I guess.
My most polite explanation to cover it.

So maybe those aggravating adds are paying off Comcast?

The providers probably have to cover costs somehow, and have been, how can I say this politely, 'leveraged'.
As to just who they are paying off, and why they need to?
That is exactly the subject of the net neutrality threads.

There was a book I read a long time ago called, Subliminal Seduction", about pictures in ads that stick in our subconscious and make us want to buy something.

Youtube is free to the end user. They are not philanthropists or a charitable organisation. They have to have income to provide the service that they do, hence the advertising. It is exactly the same with the free antivirus products on the Internet, by default you'll get a copy of other software downloaded as well unless you are canny enough to untick the box.

It's a commercial world out there Mark, learn it man :-)

Shit, man.
As a startup..............what I was talking about.
It was a forum for sharing vid clips and whatever.
I know what it's about, bud. I know exactly what it's about./
I know well enough to unclick the box....
Many do not.
My point was that there is not much really free on the internet these days.
Even the 'tube clicks that I wish to share with many of you.
I know, Chris.........sadly, I know.

OOps..........we don't want to get into that one again, do we.
It's the unedited version of Candy Man I posted.
There are several........this is NOT the most candid.
Have a nice day, you boys of service.

You might have remembered this argument about who sang what.........Who's Candy?

There are several ways to get around these ads.

Give it a google ;)

It does take money out of people's pockets though.
