Ok, it's a nose-picking tool. Very strange.

I just need to take a picture of what I have in mind, but I won't be home to upload it until a little after noon EST, today.

Okey doke, I covered up the manufacturer name so there's no clue right off the bat, but I imagine this is an easy one anyway~

A remote pancake flipper - remote in the sense that the pancake is in the next room?

(can you tell I'm out of my depth here? :))

Byron, that's exactly what I would think if I didn't know what this gizmo is, but it's not that.

Annie, you always come up with very creative ideas. Not that, either.

Yes, the handle is currently in the down position. It must be raised to begin the task it performs.

The tool is bolted to a vertical steel I-beam, at a comfortable height for a person standing to use a downstroke motion. There is currently nothing under the tool except the floor. ;~}

I just realized there is a part missing that attaches via the wing nuts. Not trying to be tricky, just didn't notice it was unassembled when I took the picture last night! Sorry. But, hey, makes things more interesting, right? ;~}

Mmm, no... the part bolts to the rest of the apparatus via the wingnuts at the bottom, but it's flat and only about half an inch thick.

Monday, Donald, and Byron, you're all kind of warm, but I need to take another picture of this gizmo tonight if I can find the piece that screws onto the bottom. That should help clarify things. Stay tuned.
